Han, Leia and Luke are the franchise's most beloved characters and with this trilogy to undoubtedly be their final appearance (Han got killed, Carrie's passing) what will be their legacy? What will they leave behind? There's a couple of ideas based on if the trilogy ends on a sour note or a bright one:

    SOUR NOTE:

    Han and Leia
    - Ben will remain on the dark side and be killed or saved by Rey (random).
    - Ben and Rey will be evil
    Luke
    - The Jedi will be no more

    BRIGHT NOTE:

    Han and Leia
    - Ben is brought back to the light by his sister Rey.
    Luke
    - Ben and Rey together reinstate the Jedi Academy and become its teachers, training a new generation of Jedi. Before they start, Ben looks over at Rey and utters a modified version of his speech to Vader's helmet: "Together, we will finish what our uncle started."

Legacy no longer matters according to Disney.

I’m trying to think outside the box for this one. ;)

Han and Leia gave us two legacies in my mind: finding the force when it seemed crazy to believe in such a thing, and maintaining dignity and drive after losing everything. Leia taught this to our heroes and they can continue to exemplify both these qualities.

Luke I think carries a legacy from Yoda and also from Obi-Wan who got it from Qui-Gon: the force is more than we understand, but we’re going to do our best to learn about it and use it for good. I think IX has everything it needs to continue this legacy as well :)
