Who thinks that Traveller's Tales might develop LEGO games based off the upcoming sequels?

Oh I can only hope they will. Lego have nailed the market with those games - Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Harry Potter, LotR, The Hobbit, Batman & DC, Marvel, Pirates of the Caribbean.... All they need now is Tron, Star Trek and Underworld, and they will rule the galaxy! (emperor)

I think what they should do when they make the Sequel Trilogy into a game is to make a "Special Edition" of The Complete Saga with a few extra levels that take advantage of the improvements in two new generations of consoles, and then adding the shenanigans of the new movies into the mix. What I'd have in mind would be to bring in additional new levels for each Episode covering material that was missing from the previous games. Events such as...

    • The escape from Otoh Gunga.
    • The Battle Of Naboo.
    • Anakin's first flight.
    • A on-foot chase to apprehend Zam Wesell.
    • Anakin's search for his mother on Tatooine and subsequent rampage through the Tusken Raider camp.
    • The Battle Of Geonosis.
    • Anakin's rescue of Palpatine and raid on the Jedi Temple.
    • Anakin dealing with the Separatist leaders on Mustafar.
    • Yoda's duel with Palpatine, featuring Bail Organa.
    • Additional content for the Jundland Wastes and Mos Eisley levels, possibly splitting the two levels into three.
    • Obi-Wan's trek through the Death Star and duel with Darth Vader.
    • Luke and Han's troubles on Hoth before the Empire shows up.
    • Extra content for the Dagobah and Cloud City levels; ideally, the original Dagobah level would end in the cave, then it would cut over to a bit of turmoil on Cloud City (when Han, Leia, and Chewie attempt to fend off the Empire, but ultimately fail), and then go back to Dagobah for Luke to take a break from his training to rescue his buddies while wrapping up a few more trials.
    • Another level for Jabba's Palace - the first one should deal with Leia and Chewie, while the second one should deal with Luke.
    • Additional content dealing with the initial encounter with the Ewoks, and an additional mission for the ground front of the Battle Of Endor.
    • A level dealing with the assault on the Super Star Destroyer.

All in all, this would add 12-15 levels to a package that already has 36 and several bonus missions, and that's before getting into adding content from the Sequel Trilogy. If those movies followed this pattern of having between 6 and 9 missions per level, the entire package could have between 54 and 81 missions. Again, considering that a good chunk of those missions were made on older hardware, that large number isn't as impossible to fit on a single disk as it seems.

Oh, and keep the tradition of having the Lego characters act as mimes. A lot of the charm was lost when they tried adding dialogue to the mix. Seeing Darth Vader deliver the "I am your father" message through pointing awkwardly at a photograph of Anakin and Padmé while grumbling unintelligibly was priceless. I'd hope they'd keep that tradition for this game.
