LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga has not only received a major patch fixing several glitches, but also adding new free roam content and side quests for players to enjoy.

As it's been made clear, The Skywalker Saga has had a rough development cycle thanks to difficulties working with a new engine, among other issues. While the game was ultimately satisfactory for a number of fans, players who encountered progress-halting bugs and other issues that caused a lot of frustration. A major patch has arrived to address these concerns, as three massive bugs that prevented players from advancing either in story campaigns or free play have now been fixed:

    • Revenge of the Sith's fifth story mission, 'The High Ground', had a glitch where if you exited from the level, you may be unable to return to it and complete it. Players could explore Mustafar in free roam, but they could not complete the story or the prequel trilogy.
    • Free roam gameplay in the campaign for The Force Awakens has had issues triggering an event flag where players advance by talking to Maz Kanata. Because of this, the final two story missions in the campaign couldn't be reached, subsequently cutting players off from playing the other two sequel trilogy campaigns.
    • Open-world gameplay for the side mission 'Green Harvest' had a glitch where the camera locked on to a specific point on Tatooine and prevented players from progressing normally.

Other unspecified quality-of-life changes were added to the title to help resolve additional glitches that didn't cause massive gameplay issues, but those three are the biggest fixes in the patch. But the patch does more than just resolve some irritating game-breaking glitches -- it also adds new content! After players progress to key points in story campaigns, they will be able to encounter and raid four new capital ships: the Venator and the Invisible Hand from Revenge of the Sith, the Home One from Return of the Jedi, and the Fulminatrix from The Last Jedi. These four ships also add 34 Kyber Bricks to the mix, giving players more options to be able to upgrade their characters. This move also confirms that free DLC is not off the table for the title, although it remains to be seen if more new content will be added to the game over time.

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is now available to play on Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5, along with Microsoft Windows.
