    this is what the Falcon looks like at the moment (so close to done!). not sure this will be its final resting place, but for the moment i like it in this room (ignore the placeholder curtains in the background, i'm having a heck of a time finding vaulted drapes for this room--and not really trying hard to either to be honest ~ hahahaha).

    also: yes, i have two stuffed banthas and a sandpeep as "cushions" for my couch. XD

    last night i was on the verge of finishing this puppy, when tragedy struck:

    this is the section that leads to the cockpit. i didn't like the way it was seated and tried to adjust it and it kind of exploded in my hands.
    frustratingly, there's no reason for this piece to be so delicate; all it does is attach to the top; it's not intended to be removed, there's no "play" space beneath it.

    i'll have to rebuild it almost entirely. kind of a bummer since i wanted to finish before i saw Solo tonight. XD

    i may try to fix it when i get home (before i head out for Solo), but i am painfully slow at building (in case you couldn't tell!) XD
    and seem to be even slower at trying to fix things after i've built them (like when i've made mistakes). : o p

    Well I was in London yesterday for my 2ND SOLO viewing & I popped into the LEGO Store in Leicester Square & they have the UCS Falcon (falcon 2) back in stock though you do have to get it home yourself which could be a problem on the Underground. :p. Though apparently they deliver to your Hotel if you are a tourist.

    it is definitely not easily transported! i've seen it in stock online now.
    it only took six months for production to catch up with demand, i guess. XD

    i fixed mine, by the way. IT'S DONE!

    i've been contemplating a big final post, but haven't gotten around to organizing my thoughts.

    I was out for surgery for 8 weeks with nothing to do, not sure why Im just finding this awesome thread now!!! Great job!!!! That looks amazing! I just have a Tie fighter and strained something putting that together. I did go to Toys R Us (giving that they are closing) this weekend hoping to find a cheap Legos. Think everything was 50-60% off, everything except Lego's. They were on 30%. I shall try again in another week.

    I never thought of my TFA Millenium Falcon from 2015 as small until I saw the UCS set. Unless I get lucky in a sabaac game, I'll have to wait a while before I can get my hands on one...
