A very sad day for Star Trek fans, like the day as DeForest Kelly died.:(
He was my favourite TOS actor, I loved the Spock character.
I always fear a day like this, when a beloved legend dies.
The next in line, will be Sean Connery, Clint Eastwood and William Shatner.:(
Thank you for your great work and rest in peace Mr. Leonard Nimoy.

"Of all the souls I have encountered in my travels, his was the most... human."

I spent most of my childhood watching Star Trek, and have continued to do so ever since. To say he will be missed is one of the greatest understatements I can ever make.

Good luck as you travel into that final frontier, Mr. Nimoy. And say hi to DeForrest Kelley for me.

In my earlier years, in the late 80s, I became a huge start trek fan. Huge. Star Trek. Fan.
Around the mid-90s I stepped away from that fandom. The EU had drawn me back into my early 80s love for Star Wars, but mainly over Janeway doing something Kirk, Sisko & Picard would never do.
So I never thought his death would hit me this hard. It didn't happen with Bones or Scotty. Been crying today.. been thinking a lot about what I am crying about. I think, when it comes down to it, Spock was the moral compass.. and also.. the pulse of Star Trek. He was the fixed positon around which everyone else moved. He was the anwavering rock that retained his calm and dignity through the worst. And he never, ever comprimised.

    He was Star Trek.

Nice said and I have to agree.
He was a big part of Star Trek, Leonard Nimoy defined it as well.
