Actually, when we talk garlic I like to mention lemon and chili as well, as in flavoring stir-fried king prawns. Add to that rosemary and common thyme, then we’re talking lamp chomps and flank steaks (or any other kind).

Ahhh you guys are killing me. My turn...

When I'm making burgers, one of my favorite ways to do it is to mix in chopped onion, garlic, chili powder, and brown sugar. Its a very flavorful combination... the brown sugar really sets it off. Sometimes I add in chopped jalapeno for an extra kick.

In Star Wars, Darth Vader succumb to the power of the Dark Side of the Force.
It is the translation of the 6th sentence I have to translate from French in my English test. I think the English classes will be very interesting that year! :D

Otherwise, with all the recipes you proposed, you can drink some peach iced tea syrup diluted with orange juice. You then add some brown sugar and a small amount of lemon syrup.
It is, IMO of course, yummy! :)

That sounds good! And very sweet! Does the drink have a name or is it just something you've made up?

Never tried it on steak before! What other ingredients do you use in your rub?

Surprised no one here spreads mustard seed on their steak. Really enhances the flavour, I highly recommend it!

Oh man, now I crave some hummus, and piccalilli sandwiches. Or both, yeah I think I'll try that. Sounds tasty :). Piccalilli and cheese sandwiches are always nice, oh now I crave some onion and cheese toasted sandwiches, and some banana bread, lamington cake.... ...stop making me think about food people! :D

Yes of course! Brown sugar is one key ingredient for everything that smothers along or BBQ’s to taste!

Aaaah, fine Humus, Tabuleh, Babaganoush and more delights from the Lebanese cuisine!

OK, guys, you got me more and more convinced that we need a separate thread for the favorite recipes of the Cantina members. I’m off for about an hour handling a job interview, then I’m back and will start to cook something.

Sounds really great! Enjoy yourself tomorrow! And get a bottle of fine off-dry Riesling wine with it (alt. Pinot blanc, Sauvignon), or whatever you prefer.

Before starting it: Say, would such a thread be of any interest to you guys? I take at least 4 likes as a ‘Yes”.

Thanks I will, I know the deal of seafood going well with white wine but I'm not a wine drinker so it will be cranberry juice instead.;)
