I don't think we're supposed to believe he only used a screwdriver (or whatever that is) just because that's all we see him using to make some final adjustments. It was already put together by that point. I'm not even sure we were supposed to assume he built it in that cave, maybe just making some adjustments and checking it out before sending it off inside R2.

I wonder if Disney would consider remaking "RETURN OF THE JEDI" or erasing it from canon altogether.

Cannot see why ROTJ or any of the previous films are in debate with Disney as to remaking or removing from canon, they paid $4 billion for all of the SW franchise and whilst technically they can do certain things sure - it would not be in their interests to do so.

Remakes maybe but the OT does not need remaking to be good,it's a film of it's time in cinema as a part of film history.

The Star Wars films are for all times, hence their lasting appeal. That's certainly true of the original six - it's far too early to consider the newer movies as being anything other than an attempt to woo the fans back to the franchise. Maybe when the shallowness of effect has gone, we can look at the new films more objectively.

There's no reason it would ever be considered.

A solid conclusion to each characters progression, with my favourite Star Wars moment of all time - Luke's final duel with Vader (Just spectacular)

Having said that, I think it's the weakest of the OT. Not because of the Ewoks. I watched these film repeatedly on VHS as a child, so I was exposed to Star Wars at an age where I found the Ewoks endearing, so it's not that old issues. To me they dropped the ball on things like pacing, how much time is dedicated to Luke and Vader's development and the interaction between the three leads, Hamill, Fisher and Harrison (it feels off, like they couldn't get the chemistry right on set for certain scene and just moved on without it working - like the deleted Han and Leia cloud city conversations, they just don't work).

But don't get me wrong, I love ROTJ. It's not on par with the other in my opinion, but it's a deeply satisfying and wondrous adventure.

When I read that, I would have put my hand on fire that you were obviously joking.
According to the remarks wich followed, I painfully must admit I was wrong : there was obviously no joke in that and you were extremely serious.
    My bad.

The only bad thing about ROTJ is : why didn't Luke just brought his lightsaber to Jabbas palace and slaughtered his way straight through everyone .why this completely stupid and unnecessary pathetic excuse of a plan which was based on luck and chance ? The answer : stupid story telling .
