    In SW tradition is that main hero/Jedi will receive significant injury in duration of respective Trilogy.

    So far Anakin, Luke and Rey came out clean from first episodes of their story. So if history and tradition have anything to say Rey is about to get some serious injury in ep VIII. So far it was always upper limb (hand, arm), but ST already break some rules (scars instead of losing limbs in ep VII). So I think, that Rey will not simply lose arm or hand, it will be more sophisticated/fresh. Maybe leg, or non-lethal piercing wound. But most interesting for me is loss of sight/eyes. Pretty world shattering injury for a warrior. But it would create a great opportunity to explore inner strength and Force Sight ability. As we know

    She's the Jedi of this trilogy, yes. It's not like I'm taking anything away from Finn, and Poe, or anybody else. :)

    I'm talking about injuries in context of lightsaber duels, so it's rather obvious that I'm focusing on Rey..

    I'm curious as to what injury they will put forth. Losing a hand/forearm seems like the obvious answer, but considering how angry some people are with the way The Force Awakens mirrors A New Hope, I doubt directors would step too close to the Original Trilogy.
    Loss of sight is very interesting. Perhaps Rey could somehow lose sight in one eye but not the other.

    I don't think Rey will loose any limbs. Her GIRL POWER will prevent that.

    It may not be physical it might be mental just to dodge patterns. She may lose her memory dun.dun.dunnn. I've known a few women to experience what the peers call "MENTAL-Pause." ;)
