    If you haven't see the Last Jedi and or not caught up on Rebels, please leave this thread due to spoilers.

    Did anyone see the similarities of the Crystal Foxes (on Crait) in TLJ and what we seen so far about the Lothwolves on Rebels? Both creatures were present around force sensitives and they both lead the survivors out of danger. Also both creatures didn't harm anyone especially since the Crystal Foxes just encountered humans for the first time (that we're aware of). I thought this was a cool call back to Rebels whether it was intentional or not.


    Note: I didn't know if this should be in The Last Jedi thread or in the Rebels. MODS, feel free to move this thread as you see fit.

    I did have that fleeting thought as well regarding the Foxes on Crait. I like the little things that keep cropping up in TLJ referencing the older movies and the cartoon series to link it all in for those with an eye for detail. Cannot wait to see the rest of this season of Rebels, but am dreading it as well. I hate when things end.

    the crystal foxes have seen humans before because crait is an old rebel alliance base

    My daughter turned to me during the movie wide eyed and said “just like the wolves!”

    I’ve noticed that likely due to timing issues, they don’t really make direct links between the movies and Rebels, but they do show small beats like this that carry a similar tone.

    Rebels has multiple references to Jedi/Smith/Force temples, that help pave the way for showing one on the big screen.

    Even the space battle at the end of last season bears more similarity to TLJ than anything before it.
