This is a new phrase to me. I'll have to do some deep studying on the ideologies and practices of the Prime Jedi. Personally, to this day, Im still not 100% sure how the force works. I believe this is how it should be kept. Ominous, mysterious, yet understood to a good degree.
It would have been more satisfying for Luke to explain more about the balance between the two polars.
Also, I'm wondering what seperates a Prime Jedi, from a Grey Jedi even though Greys really aren't Jedi at all.
That would be interesting to know.
    Gotta research.
On another note, I'm all for new and open minded ideas, but I think if we start to bring in other rankings of Jedi besides Padawan, Knight and Master....things would get too complicated.
First we have Jedi Prime, then itll be Jedi Supreme.
Next thing you know, you'll have Jedi Super Mega Grande Bendu Supremes with a side of sour cream.

I'd have to think there were (and probably are) other light side force users that are not named Jedi. It's a big galaxy after all. So if we accept that, other titles and such can get very "complicated".

I think instead of scaling up powers, they should scale them down. I really hope SW doesn't become like the EU where every new series feels they have to one up the prior one with bigger and badder. It shouldn't be the powers that define the character, but rather how they make use of them.

I like the parallels but judging by the way the rest of the movie shuts down theories or the idea that what's true is anything different from what you're seeing (Snoke falling over when Hux enters the throne room for example) I'm pretty sure he just died the same way Obi-wan and Yoda did. The Prime Jedi was a single person not a type of Jedi and yes Luke clearly achieved a sense of balance and purpose like the first Jedi, but he was still just the same Luke Skywalker at the end.
