    I'm wagering 100 credits that Luke Skywalker will not appear in any official publicity material (i.e., posters, tv ads, etc.) between now and theatrical release.

    I have two wagers going.
    First wager, that Luke won't be in any publicity before the release.. and the second wager: that there will be an opening crawl.

    I will be surprised — if fact I'll be blown away, if I have challengers for either one! :)

    (What do you think my next bet should be? Maybe that the sun will continue to appear to rise first thing in the morning? ;) )

    True, but I'm wagering specifically on Luke's presence in publicity for the film. "12/15" is the premiere date of the film itself. :)

    Actually, 12/16 IS the premiere date, which is in UK, then 12/17, then 12/18 for The US...I was trying to say that he will be revealed an hour or so before the very first premiere ANYWHERE, and, even then, it will be hidden...with his eye covered by a lightsaber ;).

    I just double checked the official premiere date, and technically we're both wrong... it's December 14th.

    But for the purposes of this thread, that's kinda moot: I'm just wagering on his presence in publicity materials ... y'know: advertising. :)

    yeah that's exactly what i was referring to as well...a first "image" of him will be released right before we see the movie anywhere in the world, in regards to publicity materials...as in insta, tweeter, FB, etc., but it will be very minimal.
