Ya know, the reasoning why Ahsoka and all could wear whatever was from a purely merchandising perspective which was never expounded on for us fans in any media (unless I haven't read where it's been talked about). I think the leaked picture we saw of Luke might have even been for merchandising only as , to me, it looked almost like hey we're doing some sort of 3D scan for Mark Hamill. If he does indeed wear that entire uniform, to me, it feels a bit bulky to fight in...if he does at all.

A New Book. You know, like The Library Strikes Back or Return of the Dewey Decimal System.

Personally, Luke looks just like I would expect him too look.

I hope we get a scene with dramatic music setting a dark ambiance, Luke swirling some vintage just glaring at the floor, only to lose it and throw his glass into the fireplace dramatically with a Charlton Heston-ianesque 'Damn you all to hell!' equivalency line. Only to see him drink himself into a stupor, stumble around, and pass out. Bits of his last scavenged farm-to-table meal still in his beard. Maybe a good *FART* in the still of the room as the camera pans over his body in a comatose state while the fire dies down....

I agree. I also am expecting a more raggedy Luke. The image could be a holocron file addition?

Hmm. Given JJ's disdain for a lot of prequel aspects, it doesn't seem in keeping with his production style of TFA. Luke just MAY bite it in this episode and I don't think it's wise to rule it out. Could be force ghost or holocron update. Gotta pass on the knowledge somehow if all else fails eh?

Oh yeah, I'm not doubting anything, and neither should any of us. I'm just saying that we have no idea what the heck is happening at this point. Remember---this is Disney and Iger has the last say no matter what. He's gone on record saying that he is deeply involved right now with TFA, based on what I've read. Disney likes money and merch is money. I'm shocked that Disney has allowed this little to be released at that point and I used to work for them.

The Farmboy, the Princess, and the Scoundrel. It's a retelling of A New Hope.

I saw the picture too, Luke looks like a saint.
A bad ass Jedi look would have been the better choice in my opinion.
I imagined Mark Hamill as a seasoned Luke Skywalker like this:

Here we have the tutor and his pupil:
    Owen and Luke.jpg
Jedi Master Owen Lars and his Padawan Luke Skywalker

    Possible dialog in this picture:
"Look over there Luke, some nasty Sandpeople near the dunes, let's visit them and beat the crap out of them, because we are dressed like Jedi Knights"

You people have forgotten that Anakin Skywalker force ghost have standard Jedi robes in ROTJ.
So that look was indeed supposed to be Jedi look even in OT.

All Jedi seen in OT had that look.

Some said those are desert Tatooine robes, Yoda isn't wearing the Jedi costume.

Yoda has the robes of the same style.
All jedi seen in OT had similar robes.

Also why would Anakin been dressed in that robes, in force ghost form if that is not supposed to be a jedi standard look.

I think he's dressed in "traditional" Jedi robes because Anakin Skywalker "died" when he became Darth Vader and he was wearing his normal Jedi Look, which was looking like a custom design/more of a "Dark Jedi" look.

Anakin Skywalker is from Tatooine and is wearing the clothes from his home planet even as a force ghost.
    Nothing wrong with that.
This gentleman here is Anakin Skywalker and not the young guy who replaced him for 2004 DVD release.
    Anakin Skywalker.jpg
    The late "Sebastian Shaw"
Credit where credit is due, it seems that our beloved George Lucas forgot about that.

    I agree.
Sad that the movie Slipstream was so weak, but Hamill was a real bad ass in it.
