The funniest thing for me about this particular matter is that people FORGET....
It was PALPATINE'S PLAN to start the CLONE WARS.
It was his plan, forcing the Jedi to fight that war...
    It was his trap.
And yes, the Jedi didn't understand it. But why?
Yoda: "The shroud of the dark side has fallen"

I really don't get why people like so much to blame the Jedi and not to give Sidious the credit he cleary deserves (as a master of evil)

    :)

But they've said it's about the Skywalker. Why would they end them? It's too risky. I hope not.

It's like when champion boxers get in tough fights they always blame the champ for not being good enough, but ignore the challenger fought well.

Since I saw the Mortis episodes, a found myself really intrigued and that it had to do with the core of the spiritual aspect of star wars. I wondered how the impact of what happened in these episodes haven't been seen in later episodes/movies so I am quite excited what will come out of TLJ and epi9.

But the Jedi totally went for it. The manifestation of his own inner darkness taunted Yoda that he had allowed himself to be seduced by the "decadence of war." Talking to Ezra, he admitted that he made a bad call in sending the Jedi into battle, and that it was their undoing. The Jedi screwed up in a big way, no two ways about it. I find it hard to believe that Luke, who has had 30 years to try and piece the Jedi's history back together, wouldn't have suffered at least some disillusionment with them over what they did during the Clone Wars.

No. Talking to Erza, he says the Clone Wars were the cause of the decadence.
Not that the decadence of the Jedi caused the Clone Wars.
Which is what we already know: becouse we know the Clone Wars were Sidius's trap.
A trap planned excatly to reach that goal: to spread the dark side and corrupt the Jedi ability to dinstinguish
the difference between wanting to do right thing and how to do the right thing.
The Jedi failed because they did not understand the threat the Clone Wars were.
We may say that the Clone Wars were... the Grey (a wrong thing disguised as a good one) because of the lack of refined sight.

E- Was it wrong for the Jedi to fight? (...) How we are supposed to win if we don't fight back?
Y- Win, win? How Jedi choose to win the question is.

If you wish, you may read this https://thecantina.starwarsnewsnet....ended-and-why-bendu-never-was-the-gray.11675/
It's all that I think about this and all the rest, given everything that happen in Rebels from that episode till the last we've saw.

That could be a very decent story actually.

Luke being the Father have to fill the void on the Mortis world to balance the Force with Kylo as the son and Rey as the daughter. In a Mortis way of course, I don't care about real parentage.

    I could buy that.

I find it funny that a while back I posted something suggesting that the imbalance may be caused because there are Jedi as well as Sith. I either got blasted for it or 'heard crickets" LOL.

I think we need to "cool our heels a bit here". That teaser, as much as I loved it, gave us a little taste of the tone of the film. Those lines by Hamill were created most part for the teaser and to "hook" us all in, which it clearly has. I've also mentioned that maybe in Luke's research into what went wrong with his Jedi order, he found out what the original Jedi stood for. He may have discovered (via "the book" in the teaser), what the current Jedi (prequels and later) over the last few decades has practiced is significantly flawed and , thus, leading to this imbalance.

It's not to say that Luke with Rey won't try to reform the Jedi. He may be on to something and doing just that. Rey may be the person to convince Luke, we need to try this and imho " I won't leave until you do" . He also can't ignore her immense power and not wonder why she is so powerful and what is essentially her importance. (On that beautiful ridge scene with Luke and Rey, I don't think he's training her. He may be just observing).

Clearly, what happened to his order which directly involved his own nephew, his twin sister's son and the murder of his friend has had a devastating impact on Luke. He's human first, remember that. Not a god. Naturally , at first, he will hesitate to start all this up again. He will hesitate to put this girl in such a dangerous situation. That shows the good in the Luke. Rey, I think, will have a big influence on him as much as he will be on her, regardless of their relationship, which will no doubt have some conflict.
I don't think Luke is sitting there on Ach-to and sulking. He's found out something and that something is big. So immense, that he, even with all his power, can't undertake alone.

Only you could be so bold! ;):D

I agree that Palpatine/Sidious should get all the credit he deserves! (pwned)
Not only the CW's were his plan, he most likely created Anakin, then seduced him from the moment he was brought to the Republic!
His plan was to end the Jedi and become a Galactic (Sith) Emperor! (emperor)
