I looking forward to Kylo’s continued character evolution.

In TFA we see him reveal his face. In TLJ we see him shirtless. In Episode 9 he bares all!

On a more serious note, I think Kylo should dress in purple at the beginning of the film and have a purple light saber. Thus representing a mix of light and dark (red and blue make purple).

I like it. A balanced Kylo would do it for me.

On a more sad thought, I suspect Ben and Rey are simply too powerful as opposites to be left hanging around by themselves, alone. The force always seems to want to balance itself. Unless they (or one of them) finds a way to bring the balance to the force? A Ben and Rey alliance could do it. If one goes down, we know that the force will create their opposite somewhere in the galaxy in some shape of form. Can't wait for IX.

That would be an interesting symbolism as purple is in western tradition the colour of power, like that of the cardinals.

    This reminds me of:

A purple lightsaber would also fit Kylo:

Crazy thought. Rey has Luke's broken blue light saber. Kylo has a red lightsaber. I wonder if Rey will need parts to assemble a new one and somehow gets access to Ben's lightsaber, therefore making a purple lightsaber (blue + red)? Or, the other way around (Kylo did say strongly to Rey in TFA "That is mine!").
And, I read there that Anakin Solo (Leia's and Han's son) had a violet/purple lightsaber.

That's not how lightsaber crystals work. Kylo's crystal is "possessed" by the dark side therefore it's red. You can't use a pure crystal with a manipulated one. At least if we look at the new canon.

The line "The lightsaber. It belongs to me." always made me think, Luke's/Anakin's saber was once his saber. But thanks to TLJ we know that's not the case.

I think he just feels entitled to it because it was Anakin's.
Not that it was ever actually his.

And idea just crossed my mind. So, some people are interested in seeing Kylo Ren's fall to the Dark side on screen. Sure, it would indeed be interesting. But, in order for Kylo Ren to fall, Han and Leia have to be a terrible parents and Luke has to be a pretty bad uncle and teacher. Now, since the OT3 are put on a very high pedestal, do people really want to see them being that way?

when i first saw TFA, i think i went on a dark downward spiral about Han and Leia being terrible parents and Luke being a terrible mentor.
but it's not necessarily true. none of it.

Ben has a lot of issues and likely got a bad start just by being who he is: the grandson of Vader, stupidly powerful in the Force, and the legacy child of heroes of the Rebellion. there was almost no chance that Han was ever going to understand him or be able to teach or guide him (and, in fact, we've seen his concerns and how hard he tried both in Last Shot and in Bloodline). Leia is slightly more problematic because she seems to have her head in the sand (particularly in Bloodline). and Luke is maybe the most problematic of all because of what happened in TLJ.

but ultimately, they are human beings and Ben is clearly needy in some of the worst ways: he's privileged, insecure, and apparently rudderless until he takes up with Snoke. and what's the worst we could see of Han, Leia, and Luke: that they do their best and it's not good enough? that they make mistakes?

all that said, i don't want nor need to see any of it. if it was done really well, that could be fine, but i feel like we know how we got here already. maybe we can fill in more moments in the eu here and there, but i wouldn't want to take away from any of the forward action in a movie to dwell on this.

If Kylo is still Kylo and not Ben it would make the sacrifice that Han and Luke made pointless. Thus, I would question why they needed to be killed off in the first place.

I definitely want to see it. I would've made the ST about Ben falling to the dark side. => A PT without knowing the ending. Haha!

The thing is we know stuff, but this information is kinda contradicting. The events of Bloodline don't really go well with the flashback events of TLJ...

Kylo will definitely be redeemed. The question remains: will he survive?

we made assumptions about the impact of the events of Bloodline on Ben's turn perhaps, but there's no contradiction.
we still don't know when Ben found out about Vader or whether he got Leia's message.

if anything, what we learned in TLJ is that Ben had probably already destroyed Luke's school when Leia was trying to reach them.
and, in fact, that's why she couldn't reach them.
it's likely that the Vader reveal had nothing to do with it.
if anything, it probably just galvanized him to Snoke's clutches after the fact.

It would be incredibly boring and unoriginal if he didn't survive.

I disagree with that. Furthermore everything is unoriginal these days.

On the other hand I would also like Rey to die and Ben saves her like Anakin never could with Padme. #Poetry -- Unfortunately it's more likely that Rey will save Ben, because today women aren't allowed to get saved anymore. :p

That's one of the major reasons why I think having no redemption for Kylo would ruin this trilogy (and perhaps more - it would leave a bad aftertaste for the whole Skywalker Saga). If he doesn't redeem himself, Han was killed for cheap shock value. I he does redeem himself, though, Han becomes an ultimate hero and I think it would be a beautiful thing that would elevate a lot of things. Soon we will find out, Mr Abrams, whether or not you knew what you were doing there.

Huh, not to mention the fact that if Kylo dies a villain, Luke was right to consider killing him that night at the temple.
