Yeah, he was a bit quirky, and he rolled his eyes like ok dude you got your autograph begone. His wife was a bit odd too. (people have good and bad days, so I'll leave it like that, we are all human). I still love his character nonetheless... This was way back in 2002, and I never forgot it, so I don't really attend conventions much nowadays. I might give it a go one more time...

I would encourage you not to let one bad experience ruin your entire con experience. There’s still people like Ray Park who make conventions SO worth it. Meeting him at Celebration was seriously one of the best things to ever happen to me, he is one of the coolest, most down-to-earth people ever. Even aside from the meet-and-greets, there are so many things to love about going to conventions, so I would highly recommend you give it one more go. :)

I met Billy Dee once and he was nice to us on that day. I even got an inscription from him ("This deal is getting worse all the time") which not all actors will do.

If I may be permitted to give props to a different franchise, the all time nicest actor I ever met was the late, great Richard Hatch, who played Apollo in the original Battlestar Galactica. He provided wonderful interactions with the fans. I won't list the jerks I've met, though I will say I have generally had more pleasant experiences with actors than athletes - but crazy as this may sound, the athletes aren't as bad as the comic book writers/artists (YMMV).
