    I've just found this fun little app on StarWars.com and wondered what we all thought the opening crawl for TFA would look like. Here's my 5-minute effort:

    Episode VII:
    THE FORCE AWAKENS

    The galaxy is in civil unrest. Imperial forces, scattered across known space, are desperately trying to maintain control over Imperial systems without any central guidance.

    The Rebel Alliance, led by LEIA ORGANA-SOLO, have temporarily assumed the role of the New Galactic Senate, against the wishes of systems loyal to the Empire. Localised power struggles ensue as different factions vie for control over ever expanding territories.

    Meanwhile, LUKE SKYWALKER has been missing for 10 years, leaving a void in the Force. With no-one to guide or teach the galaxy's Force-sensitive, crime levels have exploded and no-one can police them with any authority. KIRA has been sent on an important mission to bring him back and help bring peace back to the galaxy....​

    So come on, then, folks - let's see yours!

    It opens with a empty desert.
    At some point we hear a voice saying

    "You thought i was gone?, well thinka wrong"

    We see strange ears and a red lightsaber.
    and then a jedi gets killed.

    At the end of the prologue we realise its

    Darth Jar Jar.

    It is a time of uncertainty across the galaxy. In the
    aftermath of the destruction of the second Death Star
    at the hands of the Rebel Alliance three decades ago,
    the remnants of the shattered Empire were forced into hiding
    and a New Republic was formed.

    As the Republic began hunting down the remaining
    Imperial factions, enforcing justice and demanding
    retribution for the Empire’s crimes against the galaxy,
    those who sympathized with Imperial rule rallied
    many systems to overthrow the infant Republic.
    But there were those who resisted.

    Unknown to the Resistance, a new order has risen.
    A darkness has awakened that threatens to
    blot out all light in the galaxy forever.
    But as the darkness awakens a new enemy,
    a new hero arises for a galaxy at war…​

    Some imperial refugees
    Took cover in the Gungan
    City on Naboo. Leading to
    its Destruction and the mass
    Casualties. Representative
    Binks Is presumed to be
    among the casualties.

    While on a routine mission
    To replenish supplies on the
    Desert planet of Jakuu,
    Imperial forces have been
    Detected. The new Jedi order
    Led by Luke Skywalker and
    Anakin’s ghost are sent to
    Investigate.

Remnant Imperial forces have banded together as the First Order, ruthlessly hunting down the Rebels responsible for the death of the Emperor. As more systems fall to the First Order, a Resistance has begun, bringing hope to the galaxy. With rumors that Darth Vader has returned to lead the First Order, the Resistance has dispatched its best pilot to investigate...

    I'd break with tradition :)

    No title card, no episode number, no opening crawl...and no Main Title.

    Simply show "ALTAIAGFFA..." and then fade into that wide shot of Rey's speeder and the crashed Star Destroyer & X-Wing, with the same music cue.

    to witness the joining together of Kylo Ren, and the white turtle army.

    They iz being mean to all the peoples, and the pulication of the galaxy said

    they did not want to get involved. So Queen Leia and her army of fish-gizzards

    told the republic to screw off, and started a new resistiance.

    With liberty and justice for all, you may now kiss the quasar.

    okay but seriously.

    It is a time of political uncertainty in the galaxy, the new republic struggles to maintain peace within its own borders.

    Worlds it cannot defend are being absorbed by the remnants of the old empire. Unable to ignore and abandon

    these worlds Princess Leia Organa has organized a resistance effort. New dark forces appear to be

    manifesting within the empire, the resistance has no choice but to scour the galaxy for any hint of the long

    absent Luke Skywalker.

    Well, I expected some people not to like my idea (no opening crawl), but didn't expect people to think I was trolling.

    I'm not trolling -- I really thought thought that opening image in the teaser was so powerful and so clear in establishing the post-ROTJ state of the GFFA that you wouldn't need an opening crawl.

    Nerd moment: Realising that, while reading all these great opening crawls on a smart phone, if you hold it close to your face and tilt the screen away whilst you scroll the page, it lets you feel momentarily like you're watching the intro to TFA.... :D

    30 years have passed since the death of EMPEROR PALPATINE and the destruction of the second DEATH STAR. The galaxy now finds it self in a COLD WAR between the newly restored REPUBLIC and the EMPIRE. An uneasy peace grips the galaxy as mysterious forces plot devious schemes to return the galaxy into the grips of deadly war

    Above the planet JAKKU forces of the radical Imperial FIRST ORDER, led by the mysterious KYLO REN who claims to be DARTH VADER himself, seek a lost artifact rumored to be harbored on the planet surface. The artifact is said to hold the key to finding the legendary LUKE SKYWALKER who has been lost for 10 years.

    Hearing rumors of the FIRST ORDER's movements PRINCESS LEIA, who now leads the RESISTANCE against the FIRST ORDER, has sent her best pilot POE DAMERON to find this artifact before it is too late. Little do they know that events are about to take place which will bring a new era of conflict upon the galaxy. . . . .

    Then it pans down to the scene of Kylo Ren's transport arriving at the Star Destroyer that we saw in the teaser​

    Really could be it. Has the all caps emphasis words and I love everything but i think it will pan down to the trooper transport that we saw in the first teaser.
