How about we start using a date of birth and a date of death for our characters. Like born 13 BBY and died 126 ABY. Also include the Era/s in which the character lived in. In the case of my example, they were born and lived through the Rise of the Empire era, lived through the Rebellion era, the New Republic era, the New Jedi Order era, and lived and also died in the Legacy era.

Darth Toxious; Sith Lord (Miraluka Male)
Home-world: Alpheridies
Birth/Death: approx. 14,000 B.B.Y. / unknown

Appearance: Dark green bandages around his head, a dark hooded cloak with epaulet-esque pads over it.Tan skin, but only visible through his hood. Medium length gray hair, again, only visible through the strands that fall from under the hood.

Akul was born on the planet Alpheridies during the time of the old republic.(Just a little side note. If you didn't know, the Miraluka have evolved to have no eyes, due to the star in their system emitting light on the infrared spectrum. The Miraluka instead "see" the Force, and can even sense a person's Force aura around them) His parents and peers all noticed his strong connection with the Force from since he was very young. His daily life in these younger years consisted of him doing normal everyday things; playing with friends, farming the field, etc. He did, however, put his own little personal touches during these activities; lifting and throwing a ball with nothing but his mind, tricking a vendor to give him lower prices for food and other items. These things were difficult for him seeing as he was very young, but he grew better at it as he got older. Once Akul was around 17 standard years old, a ship crashed into his farm. In the distance, he looked at the crash and noticed a strong, dark Force aura. Akul felt compelled to see the wreckage. He went to go inspect the crash when he heard voices calling to him. The voices didn't seem to have a source; they seemed to be coming from everywhere and nowhere at the same time. As he got closer, the voices got louder. He could now distinctly make out what the voices were saying to him: "Join us". Over and over in his mind, Akul only heard these words;

Akul never heard his parents calling for him to come back. He only noticed that he was standing right over the crashed ship. A glossy black Scimitar, with a strange symbol Akul has never seen before. He stood before the dark aura. A large man now getting up out of the cockpit, and walking straight towards Akul. Akul stood and only watched the man as he grabbed Akul by the shoulders and allowed his dark thoughts to fill Akul's mind.

Then, Akul's mind went blank.

He blacked out. When he awoke once again, he was standing in a grassy field outside of his town. Only he didn't see any auras. He only saw flames and destruction. Houses and trading stands engulfed in the embers. Akul looked at his hands and saw blood and ash all over them. At his feet were two bodies and a lightsaber. He bent down to inspect the bodies, and saw the faces of the two people he held closest in his life. Only he didn't cry. He didn't feel remorse. Akul didn't feel anything. He couldn't feel anything. He wasn't able to feel any emotion in that moment. Akul's life would change at that emotionless moment. He heard the sound of ships up above him. Ships that didn't sound like the normal trading ships, though. He looked up and saw three ships: two TIE fighters, and another glossy black Scimitar. He didn't notice the man that walked out of the Scimitar after it had landed. This man was accompanied by two other figures. One being the man from the crashed ship from before. Akul didn't hear the exchange between himself and this new man. All he knew was that he was following them onto their ship.

Akul was trained as the perfect Sith Lord. Brainwashed to be the Sith to overtake the Jedi once and for all, and dawned the name "Darth Toxious", as he was to be the Jedi's poison. He was trained in the standard Form I style, but taught himself Form III to perfect his defense capabilities. He studied the government and law of the Republic, studying to be a Senate member himself. Many foes seem tricked by the bandages he wears around his eyes and attempt to stealthily attack him, but he can see very clearly and has had no problem keeping up with even the fastest of Jedi and Sith in his time. After being rejected twice for the Senate, Akul went on to hunt the Jedi down manually. He roams the Galaxy, essentially as a bounty hunter, using any lead he can get to kill any Jedi he can find.

Nai Namffoc is an rebel smuggler from the planet Batuu. He grew up in the time of the clone wars, adopted by twi’lek parents who worked for the republic on the outter rim as a suply depot for clone troopers and jedi before traveling into deep space. Idolizing the jedi he saw in passing made him one day want to be like them But with not being force Sensitive he knew he would never be a jedi knight. After his parents were killed by clone troopers during order 66 for not following orders Nai was left for dead took his fathers ship and became a rebel smuggler. Learning 3 forms of light saber combat shii-cho, soresu, Niman with a viro blade and making gadgets to give him force like abilities like force push. He set off to rid the galaxy of the evil that took his only family he knew from him.


Nai was not alone on his journey he had a T3 droid that he restored as a boy with his fathers help named sparks for the simple fact when his father was working on certain parts of the droid all he could see was sparks come up over his fathers head. Sparks was a protocol droid that worked on the ship mostly and kept it running but also had weaponry that Nai later installed after his fathers death.

Background: A member of a lost Je'daii Order that was reestablished 89 BBY by his Master and is made up of over 2,000 Je'daii & Acolyates, from various force user groups and survivors of the Jedi Purge. Their focus is on maintaining the balance (Bendu) between the light (Ashla) and the dark (Bogan). Jarred was found by his Master at a young age and taken to this lost Je'daii Order located on an unknown planet in Wild Space. The system the planet is within is surrounded by a nebula filled with numerous asteroid fields and dwarf planets, making navigation through it tricky. Jarred rose through the rank of Je'daii Master and sits on the high council of this Lost Order. He is considered one of the strongest force users in this order and trained numerous Je'daii.

Lightsaber: He has 2 which are a normal style except they are made of Etheral Energy, also he has Lightsaber Claws on a gauntlet which earned him the name Lynx in some legends

Appearance: Before- Ether: 5'9, black cloak with black chest plate with a blood red design, wears a hood sometimes, had pure black eyes with a red pupil/iris, teeth are filled to be like fangs, face is elongated giving him a jackal like appearance.

Post-Ether: the Size of a 5 story building, made of shadow like energy, has one massive Fire Eye, 6 arms and a swirling shadow for a mouth and rotating teeth.

Profile: Rhita Gawr appeared in history about 1000 years before the events of Star Wars The Return of the Jedi, during the time when Yoda was a Padawan. Rhita Gawr lived in a forgotten, primitive world that did not even have the ability of inter-galactic travel. One day a group of Tatooine Slave Traders came and destroyed many civilizations and killed Gawr's family, and enslaved him and his sister. He was sold to a Coliseum that made slaves fight horrid creatures for the rest of their lives. After about 3 years here, Rhita Gawr helped Padawan Yoda to defeat the Slave Traders and both of them and Gawr's sister escaped via a Slaver Vessel. Gawr and his sister parted ways with Yoda soon after. A few years later, the Republic issued a raid on Arganthum, a small world that orbits a black hole, during the attack Gawr's sister is killed. In his misery he went to Coruscant and went to the Archives to look for a way to exact his revenge. While in the Archives he found a mention of the elusive group called the Sith, promptly he left and began to gather information on them. After about a year of work, he discovered the Sith home world of Korriban. Here he found ancient texts of the Force, here he learned of his ability with the Force and he began to study the Sith holocrons and their texts. Soon afterwards he used his research to cut mitochlorians from the living and implant them into figures of metal and even dead bodies, using this tactic he created a massive army that knew no pain. He marched his army to Coruscant, but the Jedi repelled the attack and the then Jedi Knight Yoda battled Rhita Gawr and defeated him. Rhita Gawr then realized he needed something STRONGER than the Force. He experimented with mitochlorians until he created a kind of energy that could be considered a anti-mitochlorians. Using this energy (which he named the Ether) he implanted it into himself becoming a massive monster made of shadows. Using his new powers he laid siege to the Jedi Temple, promptly killing anyone who got in his way. After destroying the Jedi Temple he set his army on Yoda's home world which was razed to the ground. Yoda and the surviving Jedi rounded up a small army and confronted the self proclaimed "Sith King" Rhita Gawr on the plains of Ilum, there the battle raged for days but Rhita Gawr still had the upper hand with the help of his new army of Sith that he had grabbed from across time itself. The Republic Hero Vernan sacrificed himself and slammed a entire battle cruiser into the plains annihilating the Sith Army. With only Rhita Gawr left, Yoda and the remaining Jedi split him into four parts and imprisoned these parts on Sith Cruisers and blasted them across the Galaxy. According to legend these parts were imprisoned in a Force Dimension that would trap Gawr for eternity. During events of extreme force usage, Rhita Gawr is able to re-enter the mortal plain and cause destruction unlike anything seen before. The remains of Rhita Gawr's capital are on the Forgotten World of Dominitaurus. A cult of Sith Followers hail Rhita Gawr as a god and have the single minded goal of freeing their master, they are called the Order of Fallen Shadows.

Bio(Shortened Version, actual bio is about 35 pages long): Darth Vakaran was a ruthless Sith Pureblood Dark Lord whose family was killed by the Jedi Order, in rage had killed them all with a single blast of force lightning. He was one of Tenebrae or Valkorion's secret apprentices. He learned the secret to eternal life and transference of sub-consciousness via force. He later went out on his own, not truly splitting away from the Sith Empire and learned the secrets of Darth Nihilus, Darth Revan, Darth Bane, etc. After learning the secrets of nearly every Sith Master, Sith Lord, and Sith Emperor before him he went on a murderous killing spree of Jedi with the usage of his bare hands not once getting his lightsaber. But he had used several force moves throughout the fight. Realizing he would need more followers he created the Dark Legion, a elite group of Sith Warriors, Marauders, Eradicators, etc. In doing so then begins killing off massive masses of Jedi, Clones, Mandalorians, Rodians, Zabraks, Humans, Chiss, etc. He commanded an Imperial Dreadnought known as,"The Ravager". He was known for conquering a entire planet by himself and killed off all of it's inhabitants and used this as his base of operations. Though he was killed off by most factions for being too dangerous to the galaxy and reincarnated himself in his exact form he was in before. (Skipping to the end.) Then remained in hiding since the First Order had been created. But has said to be active again in the Outer Rim.

Also have you taken in consideration that Midi Chlorians are basically what create life? If there were such a thing as Anti Midi Chlorians, that would basically kill off your character and he would never be able to harness this newfound power, because Midi Chlorians flow through everything so if these Anti Midi Chlorians existed they would flow through your character and kill him off.

I love non prophecy people everyman type heroes. Cassidy was a slightly above average Jedi with potential for greater things if he ever put his mind to something other than running scams on the Coruscanti streets. The day after he becomes a Jedi Knight, his fellow Jedi found his bed empty. He forms his gang the Free Siders and is quite content to spend his days ignoring his past Jedi life and finding the next big job. His second in command is a dishonorably discharged Republic Captain who misses having a cause to fight for and she is the moral compass continually trying to get Cassidy to understand the value in fighting for something bigger than himself.

This would be the state we find him in at the start of the movie. He is not a chosen one, does not like being a Jedi, not particularly good with his lightsaber and would rather use his mouth to get out of problems. I would love to see a character who has the potential but not the drive to be a paragon of the light.

Backstory: Phoenix's family on Mandalore was murdered by Sith when he was only 7 years old. He was nearly killed, but the Sith spared his life. In the process, Phoenix was cursed by some form of evil magic. Every time he feels an extreme level of stress, he transforms into a sadistic Dark Form of himself. After a year, the Jedi went to Mandalore to help with some political troubles. That is when Master Obi-Wan Kenobi met Phoenix and took him as his Padawan, despite the disapproval of the Jedi Council at first. He has been under Obi-Wan's close tutelage for nearly 10 years, but has yet to truly become a Jedi Knight. While Phoenix is not the best with Force Abilities, he is exceptionally skilled with his double-bladed lightsaber. Despite having transformed into Dark Phoenix during his training, his master was patient with Phoenix's condition.
