So I will let other people provide their thoughts before I chime in with my own, mostly because I don't want to post this and find out I'm going to have to merge it with a thread that beat me to the punch

 

I hope it turns out to true. Han Solo is a legendary character, but was always the most expendable of the big 3 IMO. Only because, in a saga with the Force at the center of it, a non-Force user was never my absolute favorite component. If one of them has to go early, I would hope it was Han and not Luke or Leia. Of course the loss of a character as beloved as Han Solo will be felt deeply and he always be missed, but the saga will live on just fine without him.

 

Only Chewbacca reacts? Rey who's rumored to be his daughter no reaction. To kill off a major character like that, not have a better send off? That's it he's killed his body left behind? No goodbyes? No funeral?
Where's Luke in all this?

 

I guess there´s no big surprise since we´we all expected Han to die, and some of us were thinking that Kylo Ren (the Son) will kill him, and also that it will be a sacrifice....The news are that this is another mirror to ANH....and counting...some will like the basic structure of ANH, some not..anyways Jason Ward rocks

Almost has to happen like this.

Han is the most endearing character. His death will strike a chord with all SW fans and help create the deep feelings necessary for a "good" bad guy. I can honestly say, Hans death would piss me off and cause me to lose my jedi controls. Fuel for two more episodes with this kind of a death - especially if done right.

 

As I said in the General thread, it reads like it comes from call sheets. The leaked call sheets were a big factor in spoiler culture prior to the release of The Dark Knight Rises and piecing that movie together. Including some huge moments from that film leaked--all the call sheets as far as I recall were accurate. So these are either

a) real
b) fake
c) real but they filmed like "alternate endings" for the purpose of confusion

For now, I'll give it the benefit of the doubt.

 

If this is true, I'll cry like a lttle baby.

 

Han figures out his sacrifice will protect his daughter, Leia's son, Luke's son, Luke, his longtime companion..... he does the right thing. The only thing that is still a mystery to me is if he meets his doom with Leia's son or something else.

 

So has Jason confirmed that Ren and Rey are siblings and children of Solo? If that is the case, Kylo Ren will be the most hated character in Star Was history for killing his own father, one of the most beloved characters in the Saga.

Also, I thought Viral Hide was adamant that Kylo Ren was not a Solo thus disproving my theory of Kylo Ren and Kira Rey Solo from a while back.

They watch as Han Solo confronts Kylo Ren. Kylo Rnn silences the conversation forever.

Huh? He hits the Mute button on the speakerphone? Never change MSW.

 

It seems like it's coming together. Ren flees, and Rey and Finn follow him. Ren overpowers them, only to be thwarted by Luke. Still trying to figure out how the tomb fits in to this part. Maybe the castle is where they think Luke is hiding, and Kylo Ren arrives there first? Luke could be in the forest guarding the tomb, which is where Ren flees to.

 

I knew it!

 

Sorry, just realized this thread was tagged Spoiler, and I still hid the JUICY BIG ONE in a Spoiler cloak. D'oh is me.
P.S. Much ado about nothing. It's the BIG ONE that has been speculated going back months and months. Meh.

 

I'm expecting this to happen. Harrison Ford always wanted Han Solo to sacrifice himself to save others. There will no doubt be tears shed if this is true.

 

I'm going to be crying in the theater. I hope Luke goes apes#!7 on Ren at the end and force lightnings him.
