So you are ok showing your kids how people are killed, shooting and explosions, but a few bad words are a problem? I don't watch any movies with violence in front of my kids. The world will give them enough of this so that they watch it on tv and also when they are too small to understand that tv is not real.

Strong bounce back from E5 IMHO.

That was pretty good. Very much enjoyed Zero carrying the EE-3(Boba's gun). Our Mando friend does not mind burning bridges. The Boston accent for Mayfield was a little hard to swallow but not a big deal. Xi’an, in my humble opinion, made the episode. The music, the hissing, her martial skills, her decision to execute the Republic guard. She was the perfect amount of crazy criminal. Very much enjoyed the three directors as X-wing pilots.

the Mandalorian spaceship, the gunship Razor Crest is very similar in design to one of the variants of SS-54 assault ship Halo. Just look at the links, near same design with a few details only difference.

IDK if anyone here read Jayson’s post about TINY (aka baby Yoda) in a thread but it’s great.

    https://thecantina.starwarsnewsnet....n-ruined-yoda-for-me-and-im-ok-with-it.57189/

To be honest it actually makes The Mandalorian even better for me. In the post he talks about how he viewed certain things from the movies and how the new trilogy and the show have changed what he thought was true. The mythology of Star Wars can be views many ways.
Just as he saw the OT and pulled his own views and beliefs of the saga we now have a chance to do this with the Mandalorian. Boba and Janjo gave us the armor and the attitude, Mando now gives us so much more. We are getting bits and pieces of the culture and “The Way”. We haven’t seen “The Code” but he is showing us by what he does.

I say this in the thread because of an earlier post. In this episode we see poetic justice without killing. Some said that he should have killed the other rouges and, some say what he did was fine (myself included). I see the Mandalorian culture akin to the Japanese Samurai and the Bushido code. Now, as we get further into the show my views may change and I’m completely fine with that because this is something new and evolving. Hopefully later we will get even more living history from the show, maybe we will even see “The Code”. Whatever happens though, I hope everyone will be as pleased as I am that we are watching the Star Wars universe expand week by week.

Again great post Jayson. Well done

Is that ship in the clone wars show? I don’t remember seeing it but I see the characters in the image. If it is then I feel l missed it entirely. I just got done watching the entirety of the show. Great find.
2 episodes: Bounty Hunters and Wookie hunt.

Nice find. "Intended as the company's first foray into the military market, the gunship instead became popular with mercenaries and bounty hunters."

"it was misclassified as a light freighter—earning the name SS-54 light freighter—due to a clerical error. Subsequently, many assault ships were sold without clearance from Galactic Republic authorities."

ahhh those errors ... just like another light freighter.

Watching the premiere of of TRoS I noticed something very interesting and exciting. Porsche and Star Wars design teams made a collaboration to design a new space ship for TRoS, I think I hearth them saying tri-wing.

The design video you can watch here:

    All sides view:

The ship looks a lot like Porsche, I like a lot the fuselage design, the engines and the wings. Front part and the kind of tail is not really my taste. Also the back side of the engines is a bit strange, looks like car tail lights. I would prefer the jet engine finish of the back side.

The lights are the modern today car lights led cold white bluish, silver - white scheme.

JFYI in EU we pronounce their name "porsh", not porsche :D

Now let's go back to Episode 5 where we had this new gunship.

    The TRoS new porsche ship:

The Episode 5 ship, aka Riot Mar gunship. Color scheme is typical black/grey - yellow. A lot like old school racing cars.

    Engine grill

A lot of elements looking the same - central cockpit and two sharp wings, two engines, this front grill. I am pretty sure this is a racer ship created for TRoS or sharing a lot of design elements with the Porsche ship. I am also pretty sure we will see it again.

Apparently I was right, we did not had a clear shot of the ship because they didn't want to spoil the TRoS ship which they did together with Porsche.

Mando is no longer a Bounty Hunter. He went back to get the kid. After watching the Episodes in sequence several times, I think both Mando and BabyY are being civilized. BabyY has been God knows where, through what we'll never know, met who knows what whether humanoid or creatures: situations with close calls and horrible conditions. I doubt he had much training from his parents on MANNERS, meeting new people. BabyY learned child and baby manners from the children of the village. The children showed him you don't be so different from them, ie BabyY letting the frog drop from his mouth after children show disgust. From spending time with someone who held, cooed at him, showed massive kindness to an unknown baby creature she knew nothing about.

I like Peli, a lot. I hope we see her again. She is logical within her situation, working in Hanger Bay 35. Peli's had to be tough. She wasn't tough with BabyY. She responded as we did.

Not sure if it has been officially announced but it is going to be 6 one hour episodes. The story is based off the script that was written for the originally planned Kenobi movie. With that setup it seems to be a self contained story or mini series than a more serialized show.

Completely agree and I’m in the “I hated TLJ and it left a huge bitter taste in my mouth” camp.

Posters note: I don’t want to devolve into a TLJ debate here... just stating my mind frame.

Regardless of what I may think of the ST, this movie has literally been a lifetime in the making for me. I’ve had my tickets for weeks and can’t wait for tomorrow!

    I completely agree.

That said, a flaw with a slow developing story (based on... a certain point of view (obi-wan ghost)) in a TV series where you have to wait a week between episodes and likely months between seasons is the wait for resolution/payoff can be EXCRUCIATING. If you’re the impatient type like me...

I completely agree with what you’re saying but I also feel the pangs of frustration with the story not advancing more.

When this series is done and able to be binge watched, I bet it will feel much more satisfying to those who are having trouble with the rare of story development.

Despite the sometimes slow development though, I still LOVE this series!

My wife is right there with you, so I fully sympathize!
She LOVES this show (and she is not a "Star Wars fan" in her mind - she only started liking Star Wars films post-Disney, and doesn't really feel a need to talk at length about Star Wars), and loves the pacing for what air it creates, but HATES it for her impatience. lol

    Cheers,
    Jayson

I had no problem with the depiction of the Twi'leks. I know this is contentious among the RP community, because Star Wars role players have always taken liberal interpretations on Twi'lek culture that were not woven into the characters here.

But personally, I thought they were both terrific.

And yes you knew Mando would be double-crossed in this episode pretty much from the opening line, but that wasn't the trick to this episode. The trick was understanding that Mando knew he could capitalize and profit anyway and was unafraid to go on the mission because of that. He's just that savvy.

I also love the Twi'lek's alacrity with knives/daggers, again as someone who role played Twi'leks a lot, this seemed very true.

Also X-Wings blowing up bad guys as if it were just a routine patrol, love it, it was nice to see the New Republic kick some ass for a change in this series.

Hi peeps, first post here. Can't find the answer anywhere. What happened to the Mando's rifle? He has it in E05 takes it off the planet in the cart, but in E06 it's nowhere to be seen? And he's seldom seen without it.

I think the real-life answer is that it's too cumbersome for all the stuntwork that has to be done in ch. 6. My headcanon says he just left it on the Crest. ;)

One of my favorite episodes. Like seeing Bill Burr and reference to a Gungan was funny.

At the beginning I was waiting for KanjiKlub to show up.
