That Civil War scene was pure bliss, to top it all of there was a Empire Strikes Back reference with Ant-Man. Easily my favorite scene in MCU. Though, disappinted that Stark doesn't know Star Wars.;) Kinda cool that Upstate, New York is the Avengers facility, cause I'm from the area. Got Thor 3 and about to finish this and be all set for Infinity War!:)

Does anyone want to bet on who we will lose in Infinity War? I'm guessing that not all of our favorite heroes are going to make it through this time around

Infinity War? I don't know, maybe one death. Most of the deaths are probably going to come in Avengers 4 though.

Iron Man or Captain America are my top picks. Iron Man because it feels like his story is coming to a close, and Captain America because of the emotional impact.

In terms of sidekicks, Hawkeye if the writers wanna pull a cheap move; kill the family man, make the team feel guilty. War Machine or Bucky is the most likely though imo.

Reasons being Captain Marvel is just being introduced, Doctor Strange & Spider-Man have trilogies to complete, Wasp has just been introduced, Ant-Man has barely been used, Hulk is Hulk, Ragnarok just revitalised and transformed Thor - Marvel will want to capitalise on that. The Guardians will survive, though the loss of one of their team, say Gamora could happen.

From a trailer standpoint, it's now obvious which characters will be the new faces of the franchise after Tony Stark and Steve Rogers are gone.

Doctor Strange and Spider-Man. And because of recent events, Marvel will probably upgrade Black Panther's status to that of those two as well.

I am going to play it safe and say Vision will be the only hero that bites it in IW.

So...Hawkeye is gonna end up being a Skrull, right? That's why he's on his own away from everyone else? Why we haven't seen him in any footage yet? Set up Captain Marvel and Secret Invasion?

    Just my guess.

At this stage all I care about is Iron Man, War Machine, Thor, Guardians of the Galaxy, and Black Panther. If everybody else gets wiped out...I'm good!:D

Hawkeye probably isn't important to the story hence why he hasn't been seen.

So, the abridged version... "please don't tell anyone who dies, or that Vader is Luke's father"

The directors have said he is on his own journey separate from the rest. In order to justify his own arc removed from the main happenings, it either has to reveal something important about Thanos OR setup Avengers 4 in some way. Hence why I was leaning skrull. It is also just as likely he may be the one to find Thanos' weakness or possibly track down a new character like Ms Marvel that will be important to Avengers 4. He could also die early in the movie as a demonstration of Thanos' power, but I think the attack on Thor's ship probably hits that beat.

I'd be more inclined to think he wasn't as important if he was being backgrounded amongst other lead Avengers (i.e. Falcon or War Machine).

Hmm, that does make me worried, though.

Seems pretty similar to Thor's less than stellar Age of Ultron random arc in the middle of the film.

Well it sounds like they have a plan for Hawkeye. Whereas Whedon really had nothing to do with Thor so Marvel was like "infinity stone things" and he had to force that in.

He is important to the story, but his story doesn't involve the other characters. Set photos heavily imply that he takes up his Ronin persona.

My guess: his tale has to do with what happened to the Soul Stone.

I've been rewatching the whole MCU (minus the shows, for time reasons) as lead-up to Infinity War. It's been a super rewarding experience. The interconnectivity of the films is a lot more complex than I remember. And the character arcs are remarkably well-thought-out and consistent. And some of the movies I didn't like as much have moved up on my ranking. Captain America: The First Avenger was never a favorite of mine, but that movie is freaking fantastic. There are so many points where I just want to get up and cheer, and Cap's last line before the credits is such a gut-punch. Even Thor: the Dark World, while still not a great film, is so much fun in retrospect.
