So going into Comic-Con we knew not much Star Wars news was coming besides books and comics. We also knew that Marvel was a panel on Phase 4. Knew it was coming and expected it, yet after it happened it really bothered me how Lucasfilm does things.

Now I am not someone who believes Lucasfilm doesnt have a plan. I find the idea that the ST was being done film by film and each director was free to make critical decisions on character arcs without discussion. I believe that character arcs were setup before TFA.

Still I just dont understand Lucasfilm how they release information to the public. More often then not we get a press release or something mentioned in an interview that something is in production. For the last 2 Celebrations I have desperately wanted a road map panel. Like what Marvel did at Comiccon. Sure these are subject to change, but why not.

We had Celebration in April then Bob Iger says a 3rd TV series is in the works a few weeks later. Like why not have had a panel to start Celebration which would have said:

May 31st - Galaxies Edge, Disneyland
August 31st - Galaxies Edge, Disneyworld
Some date fall 2019 - Star Wars Resistance - Season 2
    November 12 - The Mandalorian
November 15 - Jedi Fallen Order
December 20 - The Rise of Skywalker
Some date - Star Wars The Clone Wars - Season 7
    Fall 2020 - The Mandalorian, Season 2
Fall 2020 - Cassian Andor Series
Some date - TV Series 3
Continued for the next couple of years.

Couple of things to mention about the list. Titles and dates. Why the hell do we not know release dates for The Clone Wars season 7 and Star Wars Resistance season 2. Resistance season 2 is as close as 2 months away and no trailer? The Mandalorian is less then 4 months away and no trailer. Yes I know at Celebration we saw some Mandalorian and part of a trailer. I know we saw an episode of Resistance season 2.

Hell Marvel gave dates, titles, and casts for 10 projects over the next 2+ years.

Saying right now they need a panel like this at Celebration 2020.

I think that "road map panel" will happen next year; which is why Celebration is so late in the year. This years Celebration was all about the here and now so to speak, whereas Celebration next year is about the future.

I think they have to have one, but still think about when it is happening. It is the end of the summer 2020. At that time Resistance Season 3 (if there is one) will be releasing in a matter of weeks. The Mandalorian Season 2 will be a couple of months away and Cassian Andor series will be imminent. I fully suspect by that time we will likely have trailers for those seasons, know titles, cast and some of the story lines. So they will be unveiling future films and likely the 3rd series, maybe a new game? Check that new game likely will be an E3 announcement. Celebration 2019 was the right time.

Come to think of this whole topic some more and the video game topic. Why was the new Lego Star Wars not shown for the 1st time at Celebration?
