Looks like Marvel is finally (properly) delving into the prequel era... they just announced a 5-issue mini-series called "Star Wars: Obi-Wan & Anakin" set between TPM and AOTC!

No clones and probably no other characters we're familiar with. This is a 10-year gap that's been relatively sparse on stories, even if you include the old EU.

I was just about to do this but u beat me to it. :)
I'm actually looking forward to this series. Like u said it's a relatively untouched era. And hopefully it turns out just as good as Kanan has.

Now I'm holding out for "Star Wars: Padmé & Artoo"!

I feel like they probably had lots of fun adventures between TPM and AOTC.

I'm actually pretty excited for this, anything that further develops the relationship between Anakin and Obi-Wan is a good thing. Also a good sign that Soule is writing, he did a stellar job with Lando and Lobot in the Lando mini series.

This. I am in the process of re-watching the prequels and this relationship is sorely lacking. The Clone Wars did a lot to remedy that, but there is still room for exploration. Plus, Obi Wan is one of my favorite SW characters and it's always good to see and explore his character.

And, I am digging that cover. :)

I am actually seriously hyped for this. As mentioned, it's a very underutilised period in Star Wars history (I'd probably say the most underutilised) so I'm interested to see what they do with it (I know there was a thread talking about this gap somewhere around and I think the idea of Dooku as a Jedi came up at some point, I'd really like to see that).

In addition that is a freakin' badass cover.

I really like how it's almost like Marvel has four ongoing series and one of them is just these character focused miniseries. It's a smart way I think for them to be mixing things up but still keep some consistency with release schedules as well.

I like this news. At the very beginning of AOTC, Obi-Wan and Anakin banter about some of their previous adventures, which sounded much more interesting than any of things that we saw in the rest of the movie. The Clone Wars did a lot for me to redeem the prequels and the characters in the prequels. Perhaps this series can help too.

When you post a tweet, it's better not to post it directly after your message. Type your message then hit enter once or twice and it will look better on a new row.

    Yeah, that's good.

I always missed what happened to this little 9 years-old boy, who just got his hair cut, from this moment the jedi Obi Wan turns to him and says "You will be a Jedi. I promised.", until we see this young sweaty boy in the lift cabin that (quasi)opens episode II...
How was his early life in the Temple, with other pupils who were the same age, but were here for years... was he afraid? illuminated? was he a good companion, or an angry boy?
Did he silently cried for his mom, at night, when he was alone in the dormitory ?
Has he been actually more gifted than his comrades ? Faster with the saber, more powerful with force chokes ?
Did he once regret his decision, one day, to abandon his mother to follow that long-haired knight?

so much questions that need answers...

There was a whole series called "Jedi Quest" that delved into his early training, but of course it's all washed away.

I wonder if we'll learn how Obi-Wan found out the name "Darth Maul".

Actually, Obi-Wan was born on the planet Jersey, so he spent a lot of time around the Darth Malls in his early years.
