Good old Max is still acting nearing his 90s.

Do you think we will see Lor San Tekka in some of the "forceback" sequences to give a little more depth to the character?

Do you think he plays a role more than we were told yet in TFA?

DO you think Mr Sydow is part of TLJ reshoots?

Or they will just leave his character never mentioned again in a Star Wars movie?

Lor San Tekka will not appear in any more movies. His back story and relationship with Luke may be revealed in either comics or books. I think there is a small chance he is mentioned by Luke in the movies but we won't see him.

I'd say we have to hear something and some kind of explanation about him. Even if it is brief. I hated that we didn't get to know much of anything. Kylo cuts him down right as me meet him basically.

I'd like to know more regarding his background, but to make an appearance in the movie? Not likely unfortunately.

Well... he is connected somehow to Luke's disappearance and is on Jakku...and knows Ben-Kylo.
Since these are the mysteries that risk to be explored in TLJ, and if there are some forceback visions...
    chances are?

    Okay, I'll bite.

    Have
LFL, MVS, RJ, MH, KK, etc. definitively stated he won't pop back up in any SW films? I wasn't aware they had ruled him ever coming back at all. I'm very often wrong of course.

I googled it and couldn't find anything that ruled out a return. Yes, he's getting quite old, but a single day of work like Liam Neeson in Dark Knight Rises, appearing in a dream, Force Back, Hallucination, or holocron or whatever is doable and would reward the actor and fans with something that could flesh out his character to something more than a Gobot version of Kenobi and a weakly drawn plot convenience.

I think the reshoots were already done in June.

No, LST won't appear in any movie. His story will be told by the help of novels, comics and maybe TV series.

I hope we get to learn at least a bit more about him in TLJ. What if he was on Jakku to watch over Rey the same way Obi Wan was watching over Luke? I don't know that we will actually see him in the movie, though.

Well, there is that "Church of the Jedi" or "Church of the Force" thing...
Maybe I am a freak, but his character was, for me, some sort of a key to what happened between ROTJ and TFA.

Maybe it'll be explored in a TV series... or a novel (I hope not).... but... how did he know the location of Luke Skywalker.

He was the one who was in possession of the KEY from TFA after all.

And HE WAS ON JAKKU! For what? Coincidence?

His character was connected to so many classic and new characters from the SAGA:

    He knew Leia personally.
    He knew Kylo-Ben.
He knew where Luke was hiding.
He is on the same planet as Rey.

I might be wrong but I don't think there were any re-shoots done. There was speculation that they would happen but there has been nothing reported. R1 had quite a bit done and the Solo film and TFA. Rian must be really happy with how the film turned out not to have any. I'm only saying this because if there were any re-shoots, I'd think we would have heard about them by now. Even the crazies at MSW hasn't said anything.

Thanks! Now is this info from your sources, news stories, panels at SWC, etc., or has Pablo H. or MVS said something to that effect?

I'm not looking to burn sources or be a jerk. I just am wondering where these statements are coming from because they have no wiggle room.

And I find that odd given that so little is "known" about the plot and exposition contained in TLJ, and EIX is a total mystery, apart from Rey being a bad@$$ at river dancing, Snoke turning out be the son of Plagueis, and Ackbar becoming a Jedi master.

It sounds like "common knowledge" that LST won't reappear.

"Common knowledge" is often a "boring fake rumor," which is great for "setting up big reveals."

Also, JJ having his fingerprints on TFA should remind us all of "Benedict isn't playing Khan."

I just hadn't seen anyone say they were done with the character in the films, and with Leia gone...He might be shown in flashback by another actor to inform us on a bit of Kylo's past...showing rather than telling.

    Thanks!

Uhhmm. In my opinion I don't think we will see him again on screen. He is in his 90s, from what I can gather even small roles are exhausting. The guy that played wedge Antilles, forgot his name, anyway he refused to be in another Star Wars movie, because it was exhausting, and time consuming. Besides his character was cool, and the actor is great, but I see him more in a novel or something like that.

Denis Lawson is his name. He didn't do TFA because he said, “They asked me but it just would have bored me.” Apparently, if he were to have a bigger role than just a cameo, he might consider doing it. But, I suppose if you find something boring, then it could become exhausting.

I've read that that the reshoots were only some weeks long. Every big movie has reshoots. Reshoots are typically a scheduled part of all major blockbuster films. If you have the possibility to reshoot something, then you'll always go for it.

It's just my speculation. But it makes sense. The character of LST is perfect for a Luke Skywalker novel. But to be honest I don't want to see LTS in the movies, IMO this would be wasted screen time.

I agree 100%. Luke & Maz can do the heavy lifting as far as necessary exposition regarding the map and the lightsaber, respectively

I would certainly like to know more about him... how he ties into the group and definitely how he got the map to Luke. Honestly though, I don't think he will be in TLJ. Maybe a mention but I think we could learn about him more in a book or the comics.

I don't expect to see the character in film again, I certainly expect him to be involved in a/several future television series- be they animated or live action (with a different actor.)

As mentioned above, he's too connected to the center group of characters to ignore. He'll have a role to play, or I'll be quite surprised .

Catch his youthful visage in several of the Ingmar Bergman films. (Perhaps especially 'The Seventh Seal'.)
