    Well, anyone remembers Jeff Bridges in Tron?
    If Disney, who are already experienced in this matter, have an urge to really bring back Obi-wan, then please, do it like in Tron or with Lawrence Olivier in Sky Captain,
    to bring back the truest Alec McGuiness back.
    If they really use MvS in role like this, I will be pissed off, as I already imagine him in some other role in which he will excel like Christopher Lee did as Count Dooku.

    Given his age I suspect he is going to have a part that will only be in this movie so I don't expect him being a villain or voice of a villain unless it is one that gets killed off. Due to his acting gravitas I do expect it to be an influential role and I don't see that as being a Obi Wan force ghost

    I'd love to see old Obi-Wan again, and was even interested in Sydow being him until I saw that fan manip....then I was like oh god what have I done! Lol....so I'm hoping if old Obi-Wan appears again that it is Alec Guinness with some sort of computer trickery.

    Or...orrr....maybe they just get Alec Guinness' real ghost? How cool would that be? Lol

    They are probably discussing production design. They talking guy in the picture is production designer Rick Carter . Im guessing they have the OT pics up as reference cause he wants to capture the look and feel of the old movies.

    I've said this before on other threads: MvS and Guiness were friends, colleagues and mutually respecting actors so maybe MvS wanted the role of Obi-Wan to honour his friend, much as Steve Martin wanted Inspector Clouseau to honour his friend Peter Sellers (Martin believed anyone else would mess with the role--um, well saved Steve, lol!)....
