Maz Kanata is Consecrated Eremite !

1000 years ago on a wet and fertile planet lived a powerfull Force sensitive being. This being travelled all across the Galaxy, explored new worlds, and charted the paths to new systems. The being was known as Consecrated Eremite.

Planet name was, Jakku. A 1000 years ago something happened, something horrible. Consecrated Eremite was forced to abandon Jakku and planet became desert wastland. The device was left burried on that planet, the device caused Eremite to leave the planet and keep it secrets for 1000 years, until someone evil, Palpatine uncovered it.




It is being of legend, and nobody knows what happened.

The being however cloaked into something else, into a pirate Queen.



On Jakku there is prophecy living that Eremite will return.
Maz Kanata appeared to a be a compassionate Dhalai Lama type figure who also lives in exile on Takodana. She has not been known as the Consecrated Eremite for centuries. Maybe Maz herself is the one Rey can bring back to Jakku.

 

The Plaintive Hand plateau was a plateau on the planet Jakku, described as "an outcropping of bent, flat rock". The anchorites regarded the plateau as a holy place, believing that it was home to the Consecrated Eremite thousand of years before the Galactic Civil War in a period when the planet was lush and vegetated
