    Hey everyone,

I thought there were a number of great lines of dialog and tons of cool little moments from Rogue One. We've talked about the big stuff, but it's the little moments and cool lines that pull it together. Please share your favorites.

    Dialog
    • "There are no Jedi here anymore, only dreamers like this fool" -Baze
    • "The strongest stars have hearts of Kyber" -Chirrut
    • "Are you kidding me? I'm BLIND!" -Chirrut
    • "These are prisoners?" "I'm taking them to be, imprisoned....in..prison" -K-2SO
Pretty much everything K2 says has some humor attached. Love him.

    Little Things
    • The way Bodhi makes up Rogue One on the fly. He's so awkward but just wants to do whats right. Thanks to him, an entire elite squadron is named after them. Love it.
    • The Red Leader and Gold Leader reveal almost had me cheering! Didn't expect them.
    • Vader's voice in his first line when he says "Director Krennic" transported me back in time. It's the first time I felt like Darth Vader's voice was real, not someone imitating him. I know it was JEJ in Rebels, but this was much better.
These are just a few. What are you favorites?

I have an admittedly pessimistic tendency to sneer at "memorable lines", as I often feel SW ones are (often) quite platitudinous, but having said that—

"Light it up" - still gives me shivers.

(P.S. - I don't really "sneer", btw...I remind myself- "Oh shaddap- this supposed to be fun.")

"Rogue One, may the force be with you"

"I have so much to tell you"

    "Your father would be proud"

I also love the poetry in the movie. Things like:

-Jyn redeeming her father echoes Luke, but it is done so differently
-Krennic is killed by his creation, but also by the ghost of Galen
-Tarkin killing Krennic eliminates the best chance the Empire had to learn the DS vulnerability, which later kills Tarkin

I love that the music during the Vader rampage is such a prequels callback, done absolutely perfectly

I love that "Rogue One" was invoked as the ship name on the fly after they had just gone rogue, and that in a meta way, it describes the first SW film to go out on a limb

I love the moment where K2SO turns around superfast like a gunslinger to shoot a stormtrooper.

I can't wait to see it for the third time

This movie was so good there are many beautiful moments to choose from.

Maybe more of an Easter Egg or just ironic:

Jyn: What reason would my father have to lie about this?
General Draven: To lure us in and finish us off in one fell swoop
(generalizing here since I cannot remember the exact line)

Of course, this is exactly what happened in ROTJ. The Emperor allowed misinformation about the Death Star 2.0's operational readiness to be obtained by the Bothan spies and relayed to the Rebel Alliance. In the immortal words of Admiral Ackbar, "It's a trap!!!"

Baze: Praying? Really? Why don't you pray for the door to open?
Chirrut: He laughs becuase he knows it could happen. Baze Malbus was once the most devoted of us all.

And later, Chirrut opening the metaphorical door (i.e., the master switch) while channeling the Force and Baze's belief returning in his final moments.

Mon Mothma: Your friend? The Jedi?

Maybe speculation on my part, but the way she delivers that line certainly does not suggest that Ezra and Kanan are still part of the picture, at least from the perspective of the Rebel Alliance. I am still holding out hope that Ezra will be played by Benicio del Torro in VIII & IX (and redeemed since Kylo Ren is unredeemable).

Captain Antilles: ... and preapre the escape pods.

    Good idea.

Saw Gerrera: There is not much of me left.

After 20 years of guerilla combat, I would suspect not. And he is not just talking about physically.

The way the rings of Lah'mu come in overhead in a triangular shape recalling the Star Destroyer in the opening on ANH.

There are lot of little things I liked, but here are a few that come to mind:

Chirrut's line "Are you kidding me? I'm blind!" got big laughs both times I saw the movie.

    I also liked this:
    K2SO: I have a bad feeling--
    Cassian and Jyn: Hey! Quiet!
    :p

I like the moment after Jyn confronts Cassian for going out to kill her father and they have their argument. There's a long, charged silence among the crew. Cassian says, "Anyone else?" ...and Baze just leans back to relax and gives that weird little sigh noise.

The visuals were amazing and often very beautiful. I'll have to get back to you on those. :D

Wow, I didn't think of that. Nice observation!

One little moment that echoed the OT nicely....

The part when Bodhi has to request the Shield Gate be deactivated was a complete echo of ROTJ and Shuttle Tyderium requesting deactivation of the deflector shield. In that scene Jyn grabs her Kyber crystal and appears to close her eyes and pray as she holds the crystal. Then there is that distinct engine roar as they pass through the gate just like Shuttle Tyderium.

It was improvised and you can see Diego hiding a smile behind his hand.

I love this cast so much.

For me, Chirrut's "Are you kidding me, I'm blind!" quip was my favourite line, although his "I'm one with the force, the force is with me" was irritating after the third time he repeated it.

This is the best mantra you can have !

Try it when you're angry, worried or troubled or even at peace, it's fantastic.

    I mean, in real life.

I wish I could remember all the lines and I've seen R1 twice. But there's alot of good one's.

This one made me laugh just the way he said it.

K2 - "There's a problem with the horizon. There is no horizon."

The whole sequence of K2, Cassian and Jyn running into those Stormtroopers on Jedha, followed by Chirrut wrecking said Stormtroopers, was the most memorable part for me.

The Vader scene at the end had me so excited. The coolest Darth Vader scene ever.

K-2SO as he, Cassian and Jyn leave for Jedha, upon hearing Jyn's explanation for having a blaster

"i find that answer vague and unconvincing"

Tudyk delivers the line perfectly, and makes me laugh everytime.

This too. Just after his cool interaction with Galen about terror (thanks Catalyst too!)

I loved this line from Krennic. Delivered perfectly. I'm trying to think of an instance where an Imperial Officer used ANY humor. I'm drawing a blank. I honestly want more Krennic!
