    I agree 100% with this assessment. I know it's a big, infinite universe but small things that remind us where we are in this timeframe help keep things in check. I would love to see a port scene with the Falcon, but with a young Lando before Han wins it fair and square. No one is saying make the Falcon a main "character" like in the OT and TFA, but a small nod is what reminds us this is Star Wars. It's like a soap opera where all these little stories come together to tell a larger coherent story.

    Please no,
    well get to see them plenty in the Han Solo movie. As far as I'm concerned Han and Chewie have no contact with the rebellion until A New Hope. Also why I do not want to see them in Rebels.

    I think it would be stretching things a bit to include the Falcon in this movie. The latter is already about stealing the Death Star plans. Including the Falcon would seem like overdoing things a bit.

    The one thing I can think of is one of the characters stealing the falcon at some point and Han saying, "That's miiine!" (han)

    The Falcon actually made an appearance in the Prequels. I'll let you look for that one. So did the Enterprise. Also, E.T.'s species has a pod in the Senate Chambers. I'll let you look for those.

    I get the feeling Han and the Falcon would be laying low, lest be set upon by a bounty hunter collecting the price on his head....unless all bounty hunters not named Boba Fett would miss blasting a person from 28 inches away from that person's chest.

    If most bounty hunters were like Greedo, hell, I'd be throwing a party for them so I could blast them, steal their money to pay off Jabba.

    1st I'm not quite sure how the MF would play into the plot or storyline of Rogue One(2016). As posted, maybe a brief RotS(2005) type scene would work.
    Honestly, I'd prefer to see a Slave 1 model or a cameo of Boba Fett, (boba fett) more than the (falcon 2) .
    A quick nod to the fan film ship; The Relentless or perhaps having the "director" on a Eclipse series Imperial ship would be boss too. :)

    How about this:

    We see the falcon sitting in open space. It's small, just big enough to make out that it's the iconic ship. Then, suddenly, as a back drop, an imperial fleet of star destroyers emerges from hyperspace. They dwarf the falcon. There is a slight pause as they become aware of each other, then, the falcon, in a symbolic "Frelling of the pants", dumps it's load, and flees in hyperspace. The fleet carries on the main story.

    We've just witnessed an iconic moment in a GFFA, it took about seven seconds and not a word was said.

    Might be cool...
