    Okay, let's talk about this one hot momma young Mon Mothma. How perfect is her casting? I'm glad they'll finally use her on screen because she is just perfect. Looks like her, sounds like her, and feels like her.

    Moreover, Wouldn't this increase the potential of casting for younger versions of characters? Like Tarkin. Inversely, could they also cast older versions of characters whose actors are no longer with us?

    I hope so, she is a great character to be brought on board, I'm glad she didn't take offence to Jyn remark about how to ''rebel'' in a rebellion because that's the situation they are all in right now.

    I believe the used the actress who played mon mothma in revenge of the sith, it's a really good cast choice, and makes sense. Id love to see some younger versions of some of the rebel generals. Maybe have some similar looking actors to play the members of Red squadron (ie Biggs Wedge Red leader, maybe even Porkins lol) as like a cameo.

    Ya 100% sure he is.


    Yea, I kind of like how Mon Mothma reacts afterwards. She is like "you've done all these terrible things, but you have got a point. You're the exact person we need for this mission

    Lucas filmed scenes with the actress, who will play Mon Mothma in Rogue One (Genevieve O'Reilly), for Revenge of the Sith in which she played a young Mon Mothma, but those scenes did not make the final cut. Mon Mothma has been a leader of the Rebellion from the beginning. After the Battle of Endor, she became the first chancellor of the New Republic.

    Yeah I know all of that but what I mean is that she wasn't presemnt in ANH and ESB so where was she actively between this one and ROTJ asied from starting the rebellion with Padme and Bail & Co. ?

    Same reason Leia wasn't at Starkiller base battle or that the President didn't go to the middle east. Main leaders have to lead from a distance. They probably evacuated her from Yavin in ANH as soon as they learned the Death Star was on the way.

    A movie shouldn't waste time, if she wasn't important in the prequel trilogy she isn't in it, plain and simple. Way better then forcing her into scenes. I get it why that scene was cut, way to long and clunky dialog.
