There is no character as ADMIRable as ADMIRal Achbar

Who knows where the galaxy would have been if he hadn't warned our rebel friends of a certain trap...

We don't know if his story was true or another Sheev lie to make Anakin fall.

My favourite was always Yoda. (in OT). The way he explained the Force and his interactions with Luke on Dagobah is what made Star Wars a very special kind of movie for me. You can't beat those lines about the Force and his wise humor. Best character ever!

Equally admirable characters for me are Han and Obi-Wan. Han especially because he really changed - from a self-serving egotistical profit-chasing scoundrel to a hero and his sacrifice in TFA made his character arc even more impressive. Obi-Wan, because he is consistently great in both the PT and OT.

R2 is perhaps the most important constant in the whole SW film franchise so far. A symbol for always acting for the greater good. SW without R2 feels incomplete. Someone that could easily get underestimated between all the "great Jedi Masters".. but your choice reminds to give him his rightful place amongst SW icons:).

I remember reading somewhere years ago that Star Wars is meant to be told through the eyes of R2-D2 and C-3PO and if there's an Episode X - XII then those could hypothetically be taking place tens of thousands of years afterwards and these two droids would still be around .

Hands down it's Chewie. He's dependable, competent and brave--put up with Han on a day to day basis. Doesn't get half the credit that he deserves. Not that he would ever require it... He's that kind of Wookie. And he's funny.

For me, it is Obi-Wan Kenobi. It always has been.

Obi-Wan has the careful hand, patience, & wisdom of Yoda, the strength of Mace Windu, & the spirit of Qui-Gon Jinn. Obi-Wan has always been, in my eyes, the most well-rounded character in the Star Wars universe.

I think your choice represents the majority and - to be objectiv- thats for good reason BUT for me personally he is TOO good in a way of having nearly no "little errors" in comparrison to the Skywalkers or Han. But my son is fully on your side:)
