Most likely cameo

Jabba - Surely he hes a cameo to explain the debt he was in leading into Ep4
Boba Fett - Just causes it is Boba Fett!
Maz - Could easily have a small role with out it feeling added in for no reason.

 

I think both Jabba and Boba are a given. Maybe Maz too as a nod to the newer stuff.

 

I don't think Jabba or Boba are quite given. It makes perfect sense to me for them to end this ~5 years before A New Hope, and leave space open for another Solo movie if they think the space is there for it. And I feel to do justice to Jabba, he'd have to be a bigger part of the film and we'd have heard it by now. But I do think they'll probably both have cameos towards the end of the movie to establish the relationship. Just, we wont see the deal and cargo dump that leads into Episode 4.

Maz surrounded by a group space Abercrombie models. And maybe Jabba if they managed to recreate the puppet.

 

I just hope they dont show us nothing in the trailers and tv spot. I want a good surprise like Tarkin and Leia in RO.

I would like to see a forerunner of the Kanjiklub or Guavian Death Gang

 

Jabba- Makes sense, I'd expect he'd be a sort of "quest giver" in this. Maybe Beckett works for him.

Boba Fett- I've heard some inconclusive rumors, and I guess it'd be good for the fanboys for Fett to have his "Hallway" moment to redeem himself, but I don't think he's needed

Greedo- As others have also said, it would make a lot of sense to include Greedo in this

Maz- You know, I don't think I've ever considered this, but Maz would make a lot of sense in this movie!

Other Bounty Hunters- The good thing about the bounty hunters is the actors who played them aren't widely known, even among most fans. They'd be about as easy to bring into the movie as a random extra, so I don't see why we can't at least have cameos from each of the ESB bounty hunters. I'd also love for some Clone Wars era ones too, to bridge the gap. Aurra Sing and Embo would be great, and if my man Cad Bane is still around in canon I'd absolutely love for him to show up

Lobot- To me, Lobot is Cloud City. Unless we go there, I don't expect or want him

Vader- I've also heard rumors about Vader. I've said this before- the Empire needs to be a faceless regime especially in this film that is essentially about space pirates. Vader is too familiar to us. Plus, he just doesn't fit with the scum this movie will deal with. We should be seeing the stormtroopers on Wobani who were half asleep and covered in mud, not the pristine 501st.

Palpatine- No. Please no.

Tarkin- Eh, as a brief cameo this could be okay, but again, it disrupts the facelessness of the Empire and makes the galaxy feel smaller for little payoff

Others-

Droids- I kinda feel like we somehow have to see R2 and 3P0. It's tradition.

Sana Starros- Assuming Val isn't secretly Han's future ex wife, having her have a cameo would be a great nod to comics fans

Aphra- Also an incredible nod to comics fans

Other Wookies- Tarfful would be kinda neat to see again, if we see wookies. Or Chewie's family from the Christmas special (of which, apparently at least Lumpy is actually canon now)

 

Jabba, Boba and Greedo have the biggest chance. I could see the first two having a bigger scene than just a brief cameo. Any other bounty hunter is likely as well.

 

Jabba will be in the film, that's basically a given at this point since the toy leak revealed Tatooine. Because if that aint Tatooine, it sure as hell looks like it.

Boba Fett? Where? Not sure. I think a cameo by him would feel useless. Either you utilize Boba in the story, or you do not use him at all.

Greedo would be nice. Maz would work. Some of the other old school bounty hunters would work too, but not if there's too many of them - it would make no sense. As for the rest, they don't need to be in this film. Especially not Vader and Palpatine.

 

I expect to see Jabba as it would make sense for the timeline for him to be about. If Maz is going to make an appearance it would be a good little link to the ST films but she would need a bigger part than she had in TLJ as she felt way too shoe-horned in for that one scene.

 

Not on there but maybe Shriv from BF2 as he is quite close with Lando.

 

I'd like to see Aurra Sing, she was only in that brief shot i TPM, and maybe R5-D4 rolling by in the background . If we see Jabba, will we see Bib or Salacious or any of the others from Jabbas Palace.

 

While I am trying my best to go into this movie with no hopes or expectations, if Jabba isn't in the movie I will be sad. It won't ruin it for me, but I hope he is at least mentioned.

 

The cool thing is, it's not like any of these characters would be tough to get in a cameo. Pretty much all of the bounty hunters are not portrayed all that iconically by live action actors. Want Boba Fett in the film? There's like a million cosplayers that could do a fantastic job. IG-88 is just a blender painted chrome, basically. Bossk, Jabba, and Greedo could be elaborate puppets, or masks. Danger is any crochety dude wearing a Dengar costume.

And then there's the guys who haven't even had a cinematic appearance, like Cad Bane or Embo. They'd be even easier to implement, since they'd be making the jump from animation to live action, and have no real life comparisons to be beholden to.

Frankly, it'd be almost too easy to absolutely stack this film with cameos.
