Yes. As long as he isn't "retired" or not writing at all any more.

@Flyboy is up with 2 picks.

With our next pick, Starship Studios is proud to announce Sharlto Copley, Actor, from South Africa. Sharlto has an incredible range and has worked with Blomkamp several times before, including District 9, Elysium, and Chappie.

Sharlto will be portraying Imperial Governor Vanek Gaines, a military leader with a troubled past, sent to a small "backwater" region as Governor to serve out his remaining time on duty.

With my fourth pick, I select... (Actor)

    Sterling K Brown!
    upload_2021-1-12_10-43-55.jpeg
This was probably my hardest casting choice as it was for one of the most integral parts of my movie. I am going to keep his role a secret but I can tell you it will be interesting and not characteristic of his usual roles. The role is going to take a very emotional actor who can seem sympathetic but also angry if needed. He is known for roles in movies like The Predator, Frozen 2, This is Us and even black Panther. I am very exited to add him to my arsenal!

    Great choice @DarthSnow!

PUMPKIN SEED OIL STUDIOS is very proud to present a very special composer

    Harry Gregson-Williams

    https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harry_Gregson-Williams

May his Soundtrack enlighten our hearts, like it did while watching "The Martian" and spread Hope in the GFFA.

@Jayson I am sure that you will throw in all your outstanding brain power to pick your next favorite!

No worries. We're making really good progress compared to how I've seen similar things go before.

    Actor: Jonny Harris

    Picture1.jpg

    Why?
Johnny has been a mainstay in Canada for quite a while, appearing regularly on Murdoch Mysteries.
He has a unique knack for being lovable, humorous, a fool, and then spin on his heels and become deeply piercing emotionally.

He's very good at capturing audiences into his charm and guile, and then turning that around to move their butts to the edge of their seats when he's put into turmoil or is hurt - either emotionally, or physically as a character.

Further, when his character(s) needs to make a sharp point to another character, especially one about value or emotional merit, his delivery is on the near level of Robin Williams.
That deep effect of grip that seemingly only comedians turning serious can readily muster.

Johnny knows how to win an audience over and turn them into doe eyed adorers primed for a punch or wound.

If ever there was a good candidate for another 3PO type of character (whether robot or not), Johnny is an easy shoe-in.
As a supporting actor, few leading actors could ask for better - someone who will lighten the air without damaging the gravitas of the drama, nor the lead's integrity as a character, and is equally capable of being right there in the serious and intense moments holding his own solidly right along side the lead.

    @Use the Falchion

    Cheers,
    Jayson

I'm going to switch things up a bit, for my next few picks, so get ready for some chaos! :D
    (duel)

    Anyways, let's get started.

My my fourth pick, I'm choosing cinematographer Sir Roger Deakins.

    upload_2021-1-12_19-43-50.jpeg

And for my for my fifth pick, I'm going with John Paesano for my composer.

    upload_2021-1-12_19-54-0.jpeg

Next up - if all goes well, I'll get back to actors and spend the bulk of my time there.

See the Discussion page for the breakdown of my choices.

    @Jayson it's back to you!

    Producer/Executive Producer: Noah Wyle

    Yes, the one from "ER".

    Why?
What people are less likely to know about Wyle is that he also dabbles in Producing, and further less known than that is that with his hand at the helm of producing, his productions are typically focused on wonder and humanitarian ideals.

He doesn't do producing all that often, but when he does, he's shown himself to be absolutely devoted to his production - willing to sacrifice and double down on self-investment if need be to accomplish a production (he took the reigns on The Librarians just to finish it out).

When he's involved, the production has a good representation of artistic vision.

He tends to lean towards familial environments on productions where the artists are safe and encouraged to be creative.

Again, when it comes to business, he can play ball and he can do it without creating a cancer inside of the production regardless how negative the negotiations are going on various complex matters.

He's also able to juggle multiple complex business involvements at once, and still keep the production as a central focus - a key involvement for a producer.

The most important aspects of any producer are that they can sit through hours of negotiations, know how to work the politics of the business, favor the artists and their vision whenever possible, and can curate a familial sense of air around their production that puts everyone as much at ease as possible so that when stress hits everyone is well supported to go through it.

Wyle has shown himself capable of doing all of this on productions he has been involved in.

    @oldbert

    Cheers,
    Jayson

@Jayson, tremendous paragraph there. Describes my leadership style that I have cultivated during my 34 year career in the US Department of Defense.

Change the term "Producer" to "Commander", "Artists" to "Troops" and "Production" to "Military Organization" and you have it.

I model my leadership style around the "Servant Leader"....the book "The Servant" is tremendous by the way.

With my Fifth pick in the draft I select... (Actor)

    Gary Oldman!
    8004970F-D650-4B00-B5AF-3FF919A5FF5B.png

This man is a living legend when it comes to playing anything he wants, any guy who can play Churchill and Dracula without a sweat and completely lose himself in the role where you forget this guy was commissioner Gordon is legit. This guy will play a mentor role in my movie but we will see how that plays out... this is an actor that can do far more than what many ascribe to him. He is one of the greatest most underrated actors working today and that is why he is my 4th pick.

(Hey guys, sorry for the delay!)
