Movie on Palpatine and Plagueis ?

Well in order for this movie to work it would have to be DP! It is already set in Canon that he was Palpatines Master, so not having him would be a big issue for fans!

I do agree that SW fans should forget about DP for a while, just in case Snoke isn't DP, that would devastate all the people who are hoping for it to be so!

 

a young palpatine would be awesome! They should get that Loki guy to do it!

 

Young Palpatine movie would be a great way to flesh out his character. Michael Fassbender would be perfect for the role imo.

 

That's a great casting idea and I think a movie on Palpatine with Michael Fassbender would work better as some sort of mini-series ...

 

It would definitely be more interesting than SW: Underworld. Name of the series/movie could be SW: The Rule of Two, SW: Lords of Darkness...So many possibilities.

 

I can't believe I'm about to say this but please no more prequels about dead characters! I can't understand how many people say that hate the PT but every chance they get they want to see a prequel. Wouldn't it be awesome to see movies about characters we hardly know anything about? Why not want to look forward to awesome new adventures instead of ones we know the outcome? Sure I can dig prequels on old favorites we hardly know as I have said so before that characters that we hardly saw onscreen like 4-LOM, Zuckuss, the Tonikka Sisters, Jess ect would be interesting to see as we don't know the fates of these characters and many of them can still be around but why do we want to see the awesome stories of Jek Porkins or Ello Asty if we are just going to see said characters bite the dust in a space battle?

It's the same as if we wanted to know more about Captain Needa or Admiral Ozzel. What good can come from finding out that these were awesome characters if we are just gonna see Vader kill them like dorks in TESB?

Sure a movie about old man Palps and Plagueis can be good and very interesting but it can also be very sucky as well. The more we know about Plagueis the more we are going to love him but the more we love him the more we are going to get angry to see Sheev kill him like a dork in his sleep! We are going to watch Plagueis do so many awesome things and even resurrect the dead, just to see Palps suffocate him with a pillow?

 

This is the only spin off movie i would love to see.

 

Plagues should play a minor but important role like Vader in R1 if this Palpatine movie ever gets made.

 

He should be the flooding figure just like Luke Skywalker In TFA

Plus Ian McDiarmid's acting and behaviours as old Palpatine may be hard to translate onto a younger actor. Senator Palpatine is scheming and manipulative. Emperor Palpatine has force lightning, and a disfigured face. And then there's McDiarmid's iconic voice which characterizes Palpatine as an evil silvertongue. I can see a younger Palpatine being as manipulative, and possibly being intelligent enough to begin potent scheming at a young age, but the voice and look seem hard to transplant.

 

Yep I would be up for a Palplagueis joint showing.

 

I would LOVE a Plagueis and Palpatine movie.

Especially if Ian McDiarmid wants to return.

But I think Lucasfilm should consider make the Galaxy bigger too and don't focus always on the same characters.

Maybe with a Revan, Thrawn or a Darth Bane movie.

This would be awesome I want to see more of the older history in Star Wars not just in books.

 

I would definitely want to see a movie like this if there's Snoke in it (Plagueis confirmed!!!). It could serve a as prequel to Palpatines story arch, Snoke's story arch and would allow for a different perspective on the Sith. Having a true antihero in a SW movie would be fantastic.

 

If they were to do a Palpatine movie they'd have to cast him perfectly because Ian McDiarmid was one of the best actors in the series. Personally I'd go Tom Hiddleston, him in Crimson Peak looks a lot like a young Phantom Menace Sheev.

 

I think Plagiues is a tad overrated, Palpatine is a much more interesting villain IMO(that's coming from the Sithsorcererofdeath mind you.). If they were to make this movie I would prefer Palpatine to be the main focus.
