He clearly says "the wrong role will suck", he just doesn't pronounce the w in will. This is what I'm on about with you 2K - like a lot of Prequel fans, you seem to lack the facility to accurately receive certain sounds and visuals. Unfortunately that usually compromises any subsequent interpretation and or criticism you might offer. It may well be an autistic thing, indeed I suspect most fans of the prequels are on the autistic spectrum.

Yea, instead he adds an f at the end.

The rest of your comment obviously does nothing to further your credibility.

The hostility leveled at those fans who like the PT is amazing . . . and disturbing at the same time.

I'm a fan of the prequels. This comment is completely out of line. If you can't make your points without resorting to this level, I don't know that you have many valid points to make.

Our ongoing trope here is to address the posts, not the posters. This is how good conversation and discussion works.

Well there's definitely an f in there.

Vowels are a bit more flexible - just like Counsellor Troi. Susceptible to accents and various stages of drunkenness - again, just like Counsellor Troi.
The "i" in "will" can easily end up sounding closer to "well", and an "of" can somewhat shift in the "ef" direction.

Then you've got the potential slurring of the "l", both at the end of "role", and then "will", "'ill", or "'ll" - if there's an l inbetween "o" and "f", is it because the actual word is "olf", or because the l landed in the wrong spot due to the slurred speech?

So "ilf" (as in Ilf and Petrov) can theoretically be accepted as a possibility next to "of"

Now all that horse aside the other guy earlier said it was "definitely would", and now you're saying it's "definitely will" - so which one of you has difficulties hearing letters properly, or is it both? Eh

Why is it completely out of line? It's a genuine observation/opinion/theory, certainly no more out there than what 2K regularly posts. I've long pondered what it is that makes so many people blind to the egregious acting, direction and dialogue of the PT, what it is that makes them so receptive to the hopelessly inept attempts at humour and romance. The autistic explanation has a lot of merit imo. I have to say your attack on me is a bit personal, you seem to have let your emotions and your favourable bias for the prequels cloud your judgment here, not very mod like.

Well, at least you've admitted that what you've written is horse, saves me the bother of having to address yet more disingenuous waffle. Is it both - yeah, you and the other guy.

As an elementary school teacher who works with children with autism, it's offensive to me that you devalue the opinions of people with that disorder. As a moderator on this message board, it's offensive to me that you ascribe differences of opinion to a mental disorder. No matter how you shake it, your approach isn't going to work here. That sort of inflammatory language isn't welcome, and it isn't up for discussion. I'm sorry that you don't already see that on your own.

Is it possible for this thread to get back on track without accusing each other of having a mental disorder? Let's try.

Jmjawors, no matter how you shake it, your approach is censorious. You admit that autism is a mental disorder but then you can't admit that it could adversely affect sufferers opinions on certain matters. You're basically censoring yourself out of political correctness - everything is great, everyone is special, all opinions are equally valid etc - it's another form of mental illness that does more harm than good. I explained why I brought the subject up in my previous post, it's a perfectly valid and reasonable position to take, you threatening to censor me because of it, is a far worse thing. Imo your moralising has derailed this thread, nothing else. If I question your ability to be an impartial moderator will I be banned, is that how things work here?

So I listened to it again, several times in a row just to be sure: it's almost entirely certainly "wrong role of suck".

98% there's no "w" after after the "l", it goes straight into the vocal - and 100% a prolonged, drawn out "fffff" before the "suck"; as in the one you were ffffffocking.

The wrong role-offffffffsssSSSUCK - that's what he says.

It's not "would", nor is it "will" - nor "he'll" as someone on rayyddit seemed to think.
