    Hey everyone!

I've been avoiding the forum these past weeks since I was afraid of being spoiled, but I need to share this small anecdote with you.

While driving this morning, my local radio station did a spoiler-free review for The Last Jedi but one of the reporters got the facts all wrong I had to come here and tell the story. To be fair, there were 2 reporters, one who is a huge Star Wars fan, and the other who's a casual fan. The one who did the report was the casual fan, but what got to me was the fact that she mentioned things such as ''in this new instalment, Leia leads the Rebels against the Empire and their new Emperor'' or '' and we pick up with Kylo Ren, Darth Vader's apprentice...''

I literally did a facepalm hearing this.

I had to share this with you because I feel only you can understand the nuance (albeit small) between The First Order and The Empire, or Rebels and Resistance :p. Other than that, I felt she did a great job promoting the movie and it really got me excited for my screening tomorrow night! I just had to nitpick.

What got me a bit worried, however, is that the other reporter, the huge Star Wars fan, actually didn't like the movie as much as the other reporter. She even went as far as to say that the movie was Disneyfied and some moments were too cute and too gimmicky and this affected her experience.

Anyhow, sorry for the long post, just wanted to share this tidbit with you guys! (and gals!)

Hard to believe that a lot of people don't know the difference, but it's true; so many people that just never really got into Star Wars. I think it's because the film is so radically different in structure and tone that some fans just can't accept it as Star Wars; it was inevitable though, it is going to have to dig into some new ground at some point.
