    Kylo Ren = Vador
    Rey = Anakin
    Snoke = Palpatine
    Luke = Hope
Lor San Tekka = Obi Wan Kenobi.
    BB8 = R2D2
    StarKiller Base = Death Star
Han Solo : The imaginary dad Anakin had when he was a child ( he was born from the Force ).

There are two stories in TFA, the one for the audience, the one for the future plot to come. I won't discuss much the one for the audience, everybody saw it. But I will try to see things for what I think is the plot to come :

This is the story of the redemption of Anakin Skywalker also known as Darth Vader. This happens during the OT.

This will begin to make things right ...

    What people saw :

The audience has quickly his attention being pulled away from what is happening. There's a old man, he's talking of Luke Skywalker, a map, a droid ( how familiar :), it's like having a refreshing drink ...
Something is coming, the First Order, there's noise, laser shots, a XWing, it's war, the audience is back in his old good Universe of Star Wars.
Suddenly a defected Storm Trooper feels bad, he has to kill people, he's dazzled, disturbed, changed. Kylo Ren's ship is landing ...

    What TFA was about :

Vader is landing on Jakku ( Evil ), he has reached his summum of evil, he's powerful, unstoppable.
He kills an old man, ordered to kill all the villagers, he can hold a laser shot ! He can't be that evil, he has reached his prime.

Edit : LST is Obi Wan Kenobi in Vader's view during ep IV. It's the start of the redemption. If ou strike me down I will become more powerful than you ever imagine. That's why Kenobi talked to Rey in the Force Vision ( see later ).

Look how old you became ... said Vader to Kenobi
Something far worse has happened to you
You cannot deny what is your family ( The jedis )
I will show you the dark side.
    Vader killed Kenobi.

This scene is what Vader was in the Force when he killed Kenobi in Ep IV. At the moment, he killed Kenobi, a spark has grown in his mind. The awakening.

The map to Skywalker is in fact both the map to Hope ( Luke is Anakin's way to the light in that movie and in his redemption - and hope has vanished when Vader hitted Jakku - and both the map to Anakin Skywaler, the forgotten jedi Vader destroyed by Vader.

    What people saw :

Abrams did shot early, he shot family first. The audience is already inducted to a family thing, the droid has escaped, the resistance pilot ( the white symbol ) is taken prisonner and Kylo Ren is the son of someone known and who knows the Old Man.
The droid with the map to Luke is on the run. Man, this movie is fast ... Action everywhere ... We're now in a First Order Destroyer, the audience is still following the action. Interesting ...

    What TFA was about :

Vader saw the awakening, cleary, he felt it ... He just didn't care about it , he thought he was too powerful to really worry about. that ridiculous white thing. As he reached the ground of Evil on Jakku something has born from the pure darkness, a ... Rey of Light.
In Vader's world, This Light was once called Anakin.

Rey is an orphant in a fallen empire ship, she's in a corridor, it's so big, it's a tunnel and the light is on the other side. Visions you have when you die or at birth.

The Force has awakened. The journey of the redemption of Anakin Skywalker has began.

    ( More to come :D ).

    I've just mindblowned myself.

The final scene is the Dagobah event from ESB when Luke first time met Vader in the cave under the tree. For Luke, it is Hell, pure darkness, he's at the moment when he sees Vader in ESB in the cave.

But we are in Rey's vision. Rey is the soul of Anakin coming back from Hell ( Jakku ) 19 years after Vader consumed Anakin and is now asking his help to Luke and for her for where she's coming back, the cave is pure bliss, it's like an island on the ocean ...

Son, please teach me back how is this to be a jedi.

TFA begins when Vader killed Kenobi on ep IV and finish in Dagobah during ep V.

It's the fullfilment through the Force of the prophecy of the Chosen One.

Except that its not the first time Luke met Vader. The cave Vader isn't real, its a figment of Luke's imagination created by the Dark Side from Luke's fear. Thats why when the mask cracks open and Luke sees himself. The cave is a test, thats why Yoda sent Luke inside.

It never crossed my mind that that "the awakening" might work in any other way :) If anything, I came out of TFA mad that they made Kylo Ren's future redemption so obvious. But then I realized that his redemption arc is most likely NOT supposed to span 3 movies. I expect him to go back to the light or find balance by the end of SW8.

In this story, this is Rey who's the redemption.
    There's something higher.

There's a place in the galaxy, only the chosen has access. When this place is at peace, the force is in balance. TFA is the story of that place during the OT.

I think thematically you are close I think your characterization is too literal.

    The 1st 6 films were a ring. A fall and a redemption.

In the TFA we have Kylo (the Anti-Luke). He is an aristocrat, he is right in the action of the center of the mix. He is demanding his place in the galaxy not being thrust to it. He is trained and tutored in the ways of the Jedi but turns hoping to reawaken the dark mission of Vader rather than the hope of the light. Juxtaposed to this is Rey born and raised in obscurity. Brought into the mix through the force. One is the heir to Vader rejecting Luke's teaching the other is a poor nobody from obscurity rising to destiny not unlike Anakin.

I'm almost sure this trilogy is happening during ep IV to VI. I'll be back with more clues, I'm still working on it, I discover things every scene with this theory.

My mistake, I got it wrong. So what you're saying is that Rey is this trilogy's Anakin? I disagree. The first movie followed elements of the first trilogy simply because that was the only way to give viewers a sense of familiarity. To make them feel like SW has "returned". This will allow next films to safely take the new characters to places we've never seen before. Yes, Rey seems to be a new "chosen one", but she's no Anakin, and we have no reason to believe that she will become one in the next movies. We can't map the future story based on what we've seen in TFA. The only arc that's obvious at the end of the movie is Kylo Ren's, and that's why I assumed you were talking about his redemption, not Rey's......Unless you mean something else entirely, I looked through this thread and I'm SO CONFUSED.

    Edit:
Oh now I got it, I didn't pay enough attention the first time I read everything. Yeah I see exactly what you mean, I still disagree. We have no reason to believe that Rey is literally a new chosen one, the force awakened in her but that doesn't mean that she was created by it. Besides, who would have made her? Snoke? Because everyone else is dead. And Snoke is not Plagueis or anyone else, it has been confirmed 100 times by now.

No, in my theory, TFA is happening during ep IV in some kind of chosen one's world. Rey is the process that lead to Anakin's redemption. She's born from the pure darkness in Vader from Kenobi's death. If you strike me down, I will become more powerful than you can imagine.

The real pitch is : There is a place in the galaxy that only one can see, the chosen one. When this place is at peace, the Force is in balance. This is the story of this place.

If you look closely, TFA is happening during ep IV and that's why they look alike. Events are taking place and the story of "the place" change during Vader's journey to redemption.

TFA starts about with Ep IV. There is a droid ( and it explains why R2 came out from nowhere at the end ) who has the map to Skywalker. Map to Luke or Anakin ? It's memories lost.

Rey who is her light side coming out 19 years of darkness [ 19 is the time between Anakin's fall and ep IV and Kylo Ren is 30 which leads to Anakin leaving Tattoine and the start of the fear to lose his mom ] is the process in Anakin's mind who lead him to fullfill the prophecy.

The prequels were about the journey of Anakin to Vader. The sequels are the journey of Vader to Anakin. The prophecy.

    Another example :

The scene where Kylo and Rey fight is in Ep IV, in the death star's trench when Vader can kill Luke ... He struggles to shoot.

In "the place", Rey and Ren were fighting to take the decision. But the chosen one felt something : The Force is strong in this one. And Luke used the Force. Kylo said : You need a teacher, I can show you the way to the Force ( he was speaking to Luke ).
Rey felt the Force when Luke used it. That is the moment, the decision was changing. Vader's struggle to shoot Luke. And Rey prevailed in the fight Vs Kylo, that is the point of this.

[ When Rey said The Force by sniffing it like it was a deep breath, it's not she suddenly uses the Force out of nowhere, it's Luke using the Force and Rey finally feeling it back again after so much time of darkness ]

Vador chosed no to shoot at Luke, it was deliberate, he was already on the path to redemption. The spark ( Rey ) born from the darkness of Obi Wan's death has grown to hope. A new hope. Because after all these years, in this trench, Vader felt something like love, peace ... A presence he's not felt for a long time.
Another tip, in this trench, Anakin saw Artoo in the ship. And this at the very moment that R2 awoke from nowhere. He was no more the droid, he was artoo again. And the long gone part of Anakin ( Rey ) is Artoo's buddy and in the place, Rey and R2 started to team up at that moment.

And it ends with the Dagobah scene, it's powerful.

This theory explain every scene of the movie. Han Solo is the imaginary dad of Luke too ...
That freighter's captain he was thinking his dad was until he met Obi Wan ]. But it's not that relevant to the whole plot.

    In TFA, you have

    Obi Wan's death
The moment when Luke founds the LightSaber
    Obi Wan mindtricks.
    The fight in the trenches
Maybe Leia's interrogatory ( Work on progress on that one :D )
    And the Dagobah's cave.

And If my theory is good it explains the force tree in Acht To because indeed there's a force tree in Dagobah.

This is a fascinating idea, I can't believe it would cross someone's mind!! :) So everything happens in some kind of alternate reality, or in another dimension, and it's pretty much a reflection of Vader's inner struggle. And this trilogy is not a sequel, it's a parallel story. But only when it comes to its symbolism, right? The story does take place 30 years after the battle of Endor, but it somehow mirrors very important past events. Is that it? I can agree to that, there's so much symbolism in this movie, so most of what you say makes sense. But if you're saying that everything we saw in TFA was just another way of looking at Vader's story....then no. The story moved on, this is the future, SW won't revolve around Darth Vader forever. But what's most amazing to me is not the theory itself, it's the fact that you came up with it! Seriously. I could have sat and thought about TFA for 10 years, something like this would have never, ever crossed my mind :) Impressive...most impressive.

    If Kenobi is LST.

    We have this part :

Look how old you become ( Vader didn't see Kenobi for 19 years )
Something far worse has happened to you ( my old padawan )

I know where you come from before you called yourself Kylo Ren ( The light side, the jedi order, family ).
And Vader striked Kenobi, he reached his prime of power stopping lasers but it creates something in that pure darkness madness, an awakening.

It is well stated in the movie that the awakening took place in Kylo Ren. It's the spark created by Kenobi's death that will become a Rey of light.

    You got it !

Maybe that's why they needed Abrams to do this.

I will update the theory but the whole movie is explained and believe me it's more than brillant.
    --- Double Post Merged, Dec 30, 2016 ---
Now that we have the basis, let's take a look at the end scene with a statement.

Luke is hope in this movie ( A new hope ). At the start of the movie, it was Vader's Hell, Luke has vanished, all hope was gone ... And then the awakening.

First thing is that R2 is R2 again, he's no more the droid who had the map to Skywalker ( Anakin and Luke ). He's Rey's buddy again, an asset to Redemption.
Rey is coming from scratch of darkness to Hope

We have Rey climbing a thousand of steps ( The Jedi steps ) to get back to the jedi path, the hope is real, the place is magnificient and then she met Hope : Luke Skywalker and they both have this strange face.

If my theory is right it's the Dagobah's cave in EP V.

Luke is taking the opposite way as Rey, he's going down to a dark cave. And there for the first time, he met Vader in a pure moment of darkness.

It's light and dark meeting, Luke has to climb down a bit and for him it's pure nightmare and Rey had to climb up thousand of steps. When you come from darkness, this is pure bliss, an island in the ocean.

The point of the scene is that Vader found Luke in this cave and it was a call to help. From Luke's side it was OMG Vader is here but from Rey's side it's son ... Teach me how to be a jedi again ... Show me the way to redemption.

This thread can seems a little messy but you know, ideas are coming with the theory ...
    --- Double Post Merged, Dec 30, 2016, Original Post Date: Dec 30, 2016 ---
But this is what happend during the OT !

I can't wait to see the face of people when Luke is gonna attack Rey.

The end of ep VII is that scene.

It's the kind of signal of good you can send when you are really, really dark :D

BTW, awkwardly, it looks a lot like Rey in the helmet.

Here is the Kylo Ren / Rey fight in my theory.

This is the scene from reality.

This moment is key. Because when Luke used the Force, it brings something in Vader's world. Rey was feeling not her own Force but the Force called by Luke. She feels the Force again, that feeling she didn't felt for a long time - I sense something, a presence I haven't felt for a long time.

And that is that feeling of the Force that it is shown at this moment in TFA and the graphical hints of the trench are obvious.

the lines : The Force is strong with him can easily match, You need a teacher, I can show you the way to the Force. Vader is struggling.

Take a loot at it ... Watch that scene like if Rey was feeling Luke's call to the Force. It's amazing.

We can ever see the struggle by having Vader's saber in Rey'eyes and Anakin's one in Kylo Ren's ones.

The point of that scene is that is not Rey who used her Force but the Force she felt from Luke. And then Anakin beats out the blast out of Vader. Of course, he destroyed him, he's Anakin Skywalker, he's no joke.

That means Anakin won Vador in those trenches and that he deliberately didn't shoot at Luke. The redemption of Vador is in way.

This is the moment Rey is feeling the Force call by Luke in the trench.

    The Force Vision scene :

Obviously it takes place when Obi Wan gives Luke the saber he has ... for 19 years.

When Luke lighted it, it brings memories in the Force.

Once again, it's quite clear. There's a lightsaber sound and the saber is just in Rey's hands. It's the sound of Luke lightning it.

Memory comes back. He first sees fate ( Bespin ). Then Anakin on Mustafar and the killing of the younglings. Anakin has became Kylo Ren and Rey is exiled on the planet of evil and the ship is going into darkness. Then she sees the battle of the trenches. Her next fight for the fate of the galaxy.

Maz is some kind of Hades Cerberus. She tries to show Rey the way of hope : Luke Skywalker.

Oh and you oviously hear Obi Wan because he's with Luke at the moment.

Notice how the two boxes look similar.

Edit : The Clan Leader is Nate Gunn Rae.

Another strong proof that ANH and TFA are tied is theses scenes.

Everybody always wandered why she did this ? From where ? She was just receiving Obi Wan move in the Force. 3 times.

The two universes are concomitting with the Force.

Very creative view. The more you go on though the less important major moments of the film become. Finn, Han are just window dressing on a very esoteric take on the film that 99.9% of viewers will never even get glimpses of.
