SPECULATION My theory about DJ (aka Ezra), Sabine and Rey!

I would like to thank @sls062286 fo pointing that out. I will keep my original theory here because I don’t want to erase it but scroll down and you will have the edited version:

ORIGINAL THEORY:

Ok. I have just come up with this theory that is a big stretch, but it could work. It’s also a way for Ezra to survive Rebels and to exist as DJ in TLJ. Also my theory explains who Rey’s parents are.

So, without further ado...

Kanan dies. Ezra is devastated. He later decides to leave the alliance as he does not want to be a part of that conflict anymore. He says good bye to Hera, Zeb, chopper and the others, and he goes with Sabine and helps her rebuild Mandalore. Mandalore is eventually liberated and by the time the Empire decides to retaliate, the Emperor is dead and so is Vader. The Imperial Forces retreat and follow the Emperor’s final orders. Mandalore is free. About some years of cleaning up and rebuilding Mandalore, m Ezra and Sabine get married and they later have a child. And her name was Rey. The following years are peaceful on Mandalore and the planet and it’s moons begin to fully recover and the ecosystems begin to thrive once again. Grass begins to grow. But then Ezra notices something strange about Rey. He senses that she is very strong with the Force, even though she is so young. So strong that it initially terrifies him. Then he witnesses Rey connecting with animals through the force and watched her moving large objects using the force. Ezra, however no longer follows the path of a Jedi, and he isn’t sure if he wants Rey to either. During the next few weeks, Rey becomes frightened. She sensed something in the Force. And it was coming for her. She sensed a shadow. Ezra too, sensed this dark presence and he becomes concerned. Sabine soon finds out about Rey’s power and she is shocked as well. Sabine later tells Ezra to train Rey in the ways of the force when she is old enough. Ezra refuses. Then they have a huge fight over it.

But on that very night, the new era of peace and freedom on Mandalore was coming to an end. The First Order had arrive. Snoke sent them there becuase he had sensed Rey. And he wanted her as his apprentice.

Ezra knew that something or someone had come for his daughter. And he knew that he had to get his family off the Planet.

The dome surrounding Capital begins to be bombarded with turbo laser fire from Star Destroyers above. Ground forces were arriving.

Sabine tells Ezra to leave with Rey. But Sabine, now armed, tells Ezra that it is once again, her responsibility to protect Mandalore, and now it is his responsibility to protect their daughter. Sabine flies off. Ezra thought about gettting his own jet pack and somehow get Sabine out of the battle. But he realized that It would be pointless. Ezra then grabs Rey, a few belongings and rubs out of their home towards his star fighter. But before he jumps in he freezes. He remembered about a holocron that Kanin gave him right before he died. Kanin told Ezra that it had the power to store one’s memories and to temporarily suppress a person’s Force abilities until he or she needed it the most. Kanin said that it came from the Jedi temple on Corusant. Ezra realized that he would have to use it on Rey to protect her. Ezra runs back into the house holding Rey in one arm and he goes into his room, opens a secret compartment and he grabs the holocron, then reluctantly, he grabs his lightsaber. He runs out of the house once again toward his ship outside, but then he encounters First Order troops. Ezra, with Rey in one arm and his lightsaber with another, he slices through the troopers, getting closer and closer to his star fighter. But there was one trooper, that was some distance behind him. Ezra had not used the Force much in a long time, so he didn’t notice the trooper. She pulled the trigger. Instead of hitting Ezra, the bolt instead was intercepted, by Sabine. Ezra watched his wife collapse to floor, life draining from her. Rey also saw what happened and she screamed. The a colossal force push erupted from her, knocking down all of the troopers and sending the trooper that had shot Sabine, crashing into the wall. The force push also made Ezra stumble. He was amazed and in awe. But then he looked back at Sabine, he ran to her, Rey crying in his arms. Ezra came to Sabine just in time and took off her helmet to her her say, “I love you both so much. Take care of her Ezra”. Sabine dies. The troops that Rey Force pushed were recovering. Ezra didn’t have time. He kissed Sabine on the head, and he ran with Rey to his ship. They took off and once clear of the atmosphere, Ezra jumped into hyperspace, Rey crying in his arms.

The troopers on the planet surface were in shock. They were bewildered by what they have just experienced. But the one trooper, that shot Sabine, while in awe and wonder of what just happened, she took pride in her kill. Her commander walked up to her and said, “Great shot Phasma. You have earned your promotion tonight”. Pride swelled up in the rookie trooper.

Ezra drops out of hyperspace into a remote asteroid field. He knew what he had to do. He had to use Kanin’s holocron on his daughter. He also knew that he had to abandon Rey somewhere to completely hide her from the dark Force he knew that was after her. After a while, he chose Jakku.

Eventually, he set course for Jakku. Heartbroken that he would not be able to do what Sabine wanted.

They land in Jakku. Before they got out of the ship, Ezra called Rey over to him. Ezra had the holocron in his hands. He then said to her, his voice breaking, “Rey, my sun light. Remember this. The thing I am about to do, I did it because I love you and I have no other choice.” A confused Rey was about to ask what was going on, Ezra activated the Holocron. It accessed Rey’s mind. It removed all memories of her ever using the force. Then attached her very soul. It suppressed all of her Force abilities to a very low level, that forbid he from ever wielding the Force unless she absolutely needed to. Rey collapsed and darkened fell.

Rey woke up. She realized that she was being dragged. Dragged on the desert sand. And the person who was dragging her was no other than Unkar Plutt. She became very freightend and at the same time she realized that’s he couldn’t remember much. She began to scream. Unkar Plutt yelled, “quiet!”. Then she looked in the distance. Through her tears she saw a man, walking into a ship. It was her father. She ten screamed “No! Come back!” Plutt tables on her arm and yelled “Quiet, girl!”. She screamed “No!” as she watched her father fly off into the sky on his ship.

Ezra, now at this point, was in tears. He has reached the breaking point. He jumped into hyperspace.

Ezra would go into a period of depression but then he got his act together and he joined Hondo and his band of pirates and he became a pirate himself. But now, he has walked away from his old life. He tried to forget everything that was behind him by tryingn to lock his memories the best he could, and by drinking. He eventually became someone like Captain Jack Sparrow. Useless, drunk, and a worthless nobody to the point Hondo kicked him out of the group. Ezra later takes the name of DJ. And he became a bounty hunter and a slicer. But he never forgot his daughter, he never forgot Sabine, and he never forgot that trooper that ended her.

Meanwhile, Rey has a miserable life in slavery. And then the chain of events that took place in TFA take place and here we are now.

Rey has her powers unlocked now that she needs them.

DJ will eventually run into Rey again, he will reveal that he is her father, and then he uses the holocron to restore all of her memories.

Rey has her powers unlocked now that she needs them.

Not only that, the more she is connected to the Force, she will somehow, be granted access to her removed memories, and remember how strong with the Force she was when she was just a toddler. With these memories regained, she is able to have flashbacks of what exactly happened that fateful night. And soon she will learn that the same trooper that killed her mom, was no other than Captain Phasma.

Now, this is where my updated theory gets even better.

Later, in The Last Jedi, Finn and Phasma have their fight inside of the crumbling Star Destroyer. They trade good blows. But then eventually Phasma gets the upper hand and she kicks Finn on the spine, causing him to fall form the pain of the blow. Right before Phasma delivers the killing blow, she is Force-pushed once again by Rey. Phasma is slammed into the wall and her helmet falls off, revealing her face. Phasma doesn’t know how, but she now realizes, that Rey is the daughter of the Mandalorian she killed all those years ago. Rey, instead of seeking revenge, she spares Phasma, and she evacuates the Star Destroyer with Finn and the other rebels. Phasma with her troops.

So what do guys think about my newer theory?

Well everyone was saying Rey’s a Skywalker, or a Kenobi, or even a Solo. But I wanted to be a little creative... But then again, it’s Star Wars. Anything is possible.

 

Hmm. Rey has sone resemblance to Sabine’s Mom...
