As a Christmas gift to all Star Wars fans out there, Lucasfilm released today a minute-long promotional spot for The Book of Boba Fett, featuring several new lines and a lot of scenes we haven't seen in previous marketing material. Check it out here:

In the new spot, we see a more extended version of a scene we've seen in previous spots, in which Fennec Shand tries to convince the heads of the main crime organizations in Tatooine that Boba Fett is now the new crime lord in town. The scene has a lot of Vito Corleone in The Godfather vibes, and Boba Fett doubles down on that with his line at the end of the trailer:

And of course, in the middle of that sentence, he blows up a guy on a roof, as if we needed more proof that he is serious about his mission. We also get a more extended look at the scene in which he puts on the armor -- he walks into his chambers wearing the same outfit he had at the end of Chapter 9 of The Mandalorian and at the beginning of Chapter 14, and then we see two droids helping him put on the armor.

And lastly, we get a brand-new look at a new human character we hadn't seen before. She is played by actress Sophie Thatcher, who was reported by The Direct to be joining the series over a year ago. That report also mentioned that Jordan Bolger (Peaky Blinders) was joining the series, who already appeared in a previous TV spot.

While there's a lot of new stuff in here, this still looks like it's from the very beginning of the show, with Ming-Na Wen's speech being the inciting incident that sets off the plot of the show. Showrunner Robert Rodriguez told The Hollywood Reporter that they'd only be using moments from the first half of the first episode to promote the show in order to avoid a big surprise that is happening during the second half.

We will find out more in just mere days, on December 29, when The Book of Boba Fett debuts its first episode on Disney Plus.

CORRECTION: A previous version of this story mentioned that Jordan Bolger's character hadn't appeared in the TV spots yet. Our reader Char fact-checked us on that, and the line has been corrected now.
