It seems like we will learn a lot more about the Force in TLJ. We've already seen Kylos new Powers in TFA.
So, I wonder if we will see new crazy Force Powers in TLJ too ... and if so, what do you think would be really cool on the big screen?

I think of an extention of the Force Grip.
Something like Snoke being able to "Force Break Bones" and is torturing Rey that way – maybe he can "twist" the bodys of other people. It would mirror his own disfigured body ...

Luke will do something crazy for sure. Super Force push, force knockout, lightning from the sky something never before seen. And you have already seen a new force power in the trailer. Snoke is doing something to Rey and lightning is NOT coming from his hand. I agree with the speculation that it is some kind of Force drain, but we will see.

    Force draining.

And like Krall in Star Trek beyond where he drains life essence from people to empower (and transform) himself.

I just remembered: The "Rainmaker" in Rian Johnsons "Looper" had some wicked Force Powers too.

Well, we've already seen telekinesis (which covers everything from force push to levitation) and telepathy (which covers everything from mind reading to force bonds), so whatever they come up with in these areas, it won't be surprising. Not unless they'll take it to ridiculous proportions, like force users blowing up planets or something like that. But since we already have force lightning (which is almost like an ability to create fire), it would be nice if force users could create ice/freeze objects or people. Or even better, if they could change the state of matter. But of course, only in small increments. Anything else (like melting/turning into gas all the ice of an ice covered planet) would be ridiculous. And the ability to influence weather would be nice too. Not to mention how well it could be used for dramatic effect. It counts as telekinesis, but still, it would be spectacular.

I think Luke is gonna have some new tricks up his sleeve (mostly because a lightsaber fight with an old Mark is probably gonna look a little ridiculous)

I think it will be something big from Luke. We saw Yoda go at it with the Palpatine which had some pretty cray telekinetics, and I think Rian will make a point of Luke's power surpassing Yoda's.

I feel snoke is going to have something we haven't seen before. Maybe he has a large scale equivalent of what obi-wan and Luke could do, manipulating the will of others. It would be neat to see Kylo and Hux both overpowered in will and forced to serve a monster they truly think is a good person.

For me, I'd like to see a mix of old and new Force powers and ones that FIT a character's personality or modus operandi. For example, Kylo's Force Grip is an excellent example. It's unique, represents how dominating he wants to be. And led to a cool reveal with stopping a blaster bolt. For Luke, beyond Force pushes and Shoves, and maybe Repulse, I'd like to see him maybe do some battle mediation/ morale boost.

To be fair, I love battle meditation and battle mind from Legends as that power is utterly devastating when backed by an army. As for Rey, beyond the powers she has seen, I kind of want to see her develop some kind of Aura vision or maybe Clarisistence. The latter, if anyone is curious, is the power to see the history of objects through the Force.

Qunlin Vos, as a Kifar, had this. This being based on his race and enhanced with the Force. As a Scavenger, I always thought it would have suited her. And heck, if I could rewrite The Force Awakens; I'd have that power tie into her actual awakening. Because you can't tell me that power wouldn't be awesome to see. Especially, as a narrative device for showcasing some cool reveals. :)

Heck, you could argue that Rey touching the lightsaber may have unlocked it. It is certainly better than Mind Trick(which to me was BS and unearned).

The last thing I want is for Force users in Star Wars to turn into superheroes.

Power fantasy is not interesting. High fantasy is.

I'd rather not see them deviate too much from the norm, if they push it too far I think it will end up looking a bit ridiculous. I don't want to see TLJ make the same mistakes that the matrix sequels did. There's no need, ramp up the powers a bit and make it look more visually impressive. If they start introducing complicated powers like battle meditation etc that need to be explained, it won't work. It would be the equivalent of a magician having to explain why his trick was so impressive. It would only work as a plot device not as an impressive action show piece.

I agree with the snoke and the force drain idea. I think that's very possible, either that or it looks a bit like the cruciatus curse from HP.

Don't go all DBZ on me Disney please, Lol.

Oh man, I've dreamed of seeing battle meditation in one of these films. what if little Ani had battle meditation instead of jumping into a Naboo star fighter(fighter) the prequel would never be the same! Or General Organa using Battle meditation in TLJ to sway the battle of Craite or D'Qar... priceless!

I almost forgot about that lightsaber-touching-thing ... I'm curious if we'll get more information on that in TLJ

I totally agree! Rediculous force powers in Star Wars would be a real turn off.

I do think that the scene in the trailer where Rey is bent over backwards is Snoke using a force power to torture her.
