SPECULATION New gadgets expected in IX

Most every SW episode comes with new gadgets and technology. What would be your best guess?

Mine would be a lightsaber-proof cloak or vest, and Kylo would be the one wearing it.

I was surprised Snoke's golden cloak didn't have any special powers or features. If a lightsaber is a primary life threat, why haven't they invented a special vest or cloak that could protect a character of great importance. We know that in SW a lightsaber can cut almost anything, but there are already several artifacts and weapons that can resist it. So, creating a lightsaber-proof cloak wouldn't be a major stretch.

After being wounded by Rey, after how easily he assassinated Snoke and later experienced how his lightsaber didn't cut Luke, it makes sense that Kylo Ren devotes some time to build something nobody else has done before, and be the first to experience the benefits of it.
