    Only thing is green is not "new" to the GFFA but would be "new" to the Sequel Trilogy sure.

    Depends on what semantics maybe in use there.

    I would dig a yellow saber as I can recall as a small boy there was a lot of that in art images for SW ANH posters/images.

    White sabres are canon, but have not been seen in the films yet.
    According to Dave Filoni, Ahsoka's are white because she is neither Jedi or Sith.
    Luke rumoured to have renounced the Jedi...

    My money on white.

    I have no clue whatsoever as to how this would even happen, but if we were given a large scale (more than 3) lightsaber fight then that would be a great time to introduce new colors. Especially if characters like Snoke or Phasma were involved. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I remember hearing that this movie had a lot of PT elements and what defines the PT better than its grandiose, colorful lightsaber battles? Again, not saying any of this will happen and frankly I don’t think we’ll sure anything more than the blue Skywalker, Kylo’s crossguard, and Luke’s green (no we don’t see this imo, the movie’s name is The Last Jedi for fcks sake!) Some fun speculation is all that this is.

    Based on the context, it seems pretty clear to me that the word "new" is being used relative to the colors they remind us we saw in TFA, red and blue. Not so much "new" as in we've never seen it before.

    This would also align with the film's color palette! Imagine Luke's white saber clashing with Kylo's red or the Praetorian guards!

    I think that we will see something similar to bleeding a crystal potentially...I mean after seeing Rey , she turns Anakin's saber red....might be what he means, but that is just pure speculation at this point

    If Luke is really going down a middle-path of the Force, kind of like Ashoka, then the white saber would be a great canon nod. BUT I would still much prefer to see his classic green.

    Purple for Snoke, obviously, because he is Mace Windu.

    And I wouldn't mind if Rey at some point constructs her own saber and gets a new saber color. If she's as special as it seems in TFA, then maybe her relationship to the force would result in some new color from the crystal.
