    I really like the overall look of the forums but I think the current logo looks a bit... oldish? Not sure if that is the right word to describe it. Anyhow, the graphic seems pretty low res to me. I dabble in graphic design so I made a little something in my spare time, didn't take me too long. If you like it more, feel free to use it. If not, that is fine too.

    While I like your stylized version I'm pretty sure the current one looks great too though obiouzly change comes with time regardless .

    I agree at some point they will need to update the banner/header and one of these would be great to replace the current one with. You have talent that's for sure!

    I like the first one, both the colors and style. Congratulations :)
    The second is a bit over-charged and I think the additional pictures you used don't work with the drawing style of your original design. One question: why is the domain falling? It brakes the composition. With all due respect, I think it's great you offered your time to do so, but I personally like the current design more. Your problem with it is not a low-res problem, it's because is a frame from ANH and that's the texture of that movie.

    Besides: That particular scene was shot in a low shutter-speed to get brighter picture, which produces strong motion blur.

    That may bother some people. It's not my case, I like the shot. Its also used in the official site.
