    Just got back from my local store and picked up 5 total comics. Seen where some prices are upwards to $750. That's nuts.

    Still awaiting shipment of mine...

    EDIT: ha! they'll be shipped tomorrow (along with that sweet Saga hardcover collection).
    Will probably have them by the weekend. Can't wait given all the positive buzz. Have yet to read a less than stellar review. :)

    I haven't bought a comic book in a long time: how often are these comics typically released? Meaning, will Star Wars #2 come out a month from now, with an issue every month? Is there a long range release schedule for all these new comics anywhere? Thanks!

    Just finished the first issue. It's great! I can't wait to see where they go with this arc. There is so much uncovered territory.

    I feel like they nailed the dialogue of each character. I love that Luke is already using his lightsaber and maybe his experience with it pre-Yoda training will explain how strong of a swordsman he already was when facing Vader in ESB. It's great to see them all working like some sort of Mission: Impossible team.

    At the back of the comic it reads that #2 will come out on February 4th. The Star Wars comic is an ongoing series and the Vader and Leia comics I believe are a series of 4 each. Vader #1 comes out next month while Leia's #1 comes in March.

    Isn't the Vader series supposed to be six issues?
    Anyways, bring on a Han Solo and Chewbacca mini-series.

    It's a possibility. If it is, the more the better.

    Edit: After going back to an earlier article the Vader series is also ongoing and the Leia series is 5 issues. I don't know why the number 4 was what I was thinking but this is good.

    Yep. You are right about the Leia series. The place where I order comics from (Archonia) is billing Darth Vader as 'six' issues though ...

    Just read #1. For a comic, it was pretty darn good. The characters felt like the characters they are supposed to be.
    I cannot fathom that people will buy more than one copy just for a different cover, but that's just me I guess.

    Anyways. Picking up mine late this afternoon after work (I buy comics online and have them shipped to a local shop for pick up).
    Can. not. wait. Here I am, a forty year old man hyped for a comic book. Silly really, can't help it.

    EDIT; just got home. Now to put the kids to bed, put on the episode 4 soundtrack and actually read the damn thing ... Opened the first couple of pages: what a great opening!

    Planeta Cómic, the Spanish publisher that has been currently publishing the Dark Horse material, has just announced that they will start publishing the new Marvel comics next april! Yay!

    That link I posted a couple of days ago that led to the store I order comics from (archonia, damn fine store if you're in mainland Europe by the way: fast, reliable and cheap(ish) )has updated their 'Darth Vader page stating that it's going to be an ongoing series and not a six issue mini-series after all.

    Confirmation of what was reported elsewhere and damn good news as well. That book looks insanely good.
