Hello, Voxx here. I'm a lifelong star wars fan, have been since day one. I've been a regular on sw7n for quite some time now. I'm glad we have a place to discuss, not just on the blog posts anymore.

Glad to meet ya, Voxx!

Like you, I've been a Star Wars fan since the first time I saw the original movie (Dad took us to see it in Fall of 1977 and I finally realized why every kid in my class was going nuts over it!)

I manage to make my rent as a writer, I play a bit of guitar and croak out a song or two now and again, and I've been recognized as something of an expert in Zeppelin airship history.

Looking forward to seeing what sort of community grows out of this forum!

Hi! I'm Frank C. Moore! First of all, english is not my natural language. So, that's why my comments might include some mistakes! ;) I've been a huge Star Wars fan since my childhood. I'm currently working as an assistant-manager in a local theatre, and the closest we get from the release of Episode VII, the more ill try to hype the event by adding decorations, animations, talking about it, etc. Thanks for welcoming me on this blog! ;)

Hey everyone :) Bit of a youngster here. I wasn't even born when they released A New Hope in the movies haha. However Star Wars has been a part of my life since well... I don't even remember when I first got into it. Star Wars has always just "been" for me. Which I feel makes me one hell of a lucky guy!

So I'm currently a student, studying Journalism and also an avid PC gamer (so the new Star Wars IP's are a very exciting topic for me).

Great to meet everyone and I hope we build a great, strong community here! :)

Hi, Fooled Trooper here. Like the previous speaker above me, english is not my mother tongue. Happy to be here anyway.
A conscious Fan after 2005 with the screening of RotS. Never thought to see more Star Wars in my life time. OT-Fan and hopefully Sequel-Trilogy Fan too :)

Hi there..... well I'm an oldtimer to, the first movie I saw in a Cinema was A new hope. I did see return in the Cinema as well.
I'm not the biggest EU and PT fan I have but clone wars series are okay. (besides phantom menace is the best of the PT movies IMO)
I have collected vintage star wars items for about 9 years. But have sold most of the Collection.
I'm really tripping over that the old gang will be on the big screen one more time and can't wait to see Han Solo and Chewie in the falcon. :)
For a living I'm Working in the mechanical industry selling spare parts and other goods.

    Cheers
    Michael from DK.

Hello, everyone, Desann here! I'm currently in university, studying politics and economics in Germany. I'm not a native speaker either, so I'd like to apologise for any grammatical mistakes in my future posts in advance. As for my Star Wars history, it began when watching The Phantom Menace on VHS at a friend's house and continued with the Phantom Menace video game for PC. Only then could I get my parents to buy the OT (1997 Special Edition) on VHS.
My favourite part of the Star Wars EU? Jedi Academy and especially Jedi Outcast, of course. Great games, I still play them to this day and on occasion build levels for them. That's why I chose Desann's image to represent me for the purpose of this forum.

Hello to all of my fellow Star Wars fans! I was born in November of 1977, a few months after the first Star Wars movie was released.

I remember debating the kids in the playground on whether or not Darth Vader was really Luke's father. After ROTJ was released, I remember how cool it was to see a green lightsaber for the first time! Indeed the franchise has changed quite a bit since then. I can't wait for the surprises these new films have in store for us!

Hi everyone, my name is Darrin and it's lovely to be here and mix with other fans. When Star Wars first came out in the 70's I was a skinny 8 year old kid, and I immediately fell in love with that galaxy far, far away. Saw the movie at the theatre 18 times and even sat outside and listened to it when I couldn't afford to get in. Like most of you, it was a life changer. Really excited about the episode 7 coming out and really delighted to see the original characters coming back. I'm a pest controller, artist, and writing my first book about my Mum who died three weeks ago.

I'm Ben from NYC, originally Russia. I have BA in animation and fully pursue a photography career. I enjoy roller skating, rock climbing, parkour, games & heavy metal shows. My first exposure to SW was at 7.

Not a huge fan of the new trilogy, although there are cool moments there.

Oh yeah, and a huge thanks for the moderators and owners of this site for doing such a great job bringing the rest of us THE NEWS! Your effort is much appreciated.

POMOJEMA EDIT: Thanks for the gratitude! For the record, I moved your post from being its own thread to being a part of this thread - just to let you know.

I guess I'll just have to stop by to say that I'm a huge fan of all of the Star Wars movies, and that I enjoy writing and reading about the future of the franchise.

I was born in 1993, and I grew up with both the Original Trilogy and the Prequel Trilogy.

    Hey everyone!

Some of you probably know that I'm one of the writers for the Blog. I've been coming to Viral's Blog since he opened it in 2012 after D-Day and IMO his website (not kissing ass here btw) is one of the best on the net! So Kudos to Viral Hide for building this amazing Empire!!!! (boba fett)

I also write in my "spare time" both original novels as well as screenplays and am currently working on some other projects in this line.

It goes without saying that I'm a HUGE SW fan since the OT came out when I was a little kid -- seminal memories. LOL George Lucas (Campbell and mythology in general) and Harrison Ford are major influences on me.

As you can see my favorite character is Han Solo; I have an extensive Solo collection of memoribilia, hopefully I can share with pictures one day when I can take it out of storage.

Huzzah I has a face and name! I've been coming to this site since it launched! As a matter of fact I bet if I go back to some of the original articles my comments are there! I also happen to be that guy in the comments who could never get facebook to link to it :(

That said it linked totally fine to this forum. So all's good in my book.

So introductions. Where to start. I like long walks on the beach... :p

Been a Star Wars fan since I can remember. No literally when I was four years old I saw these strange mechanical walker things in the snow and wondered what they were aside from being awesome! I was visiting my aunt and it happened to be on TV. Luckily nothing was spoiled because that's all I remembered. Years later I would see Star Wars and the memory clicked. It was Empire Strikes back and those things were AT-ATs!

Anyway I'm 31 TODAY... so thanks for opening the forum on my birthday... and just typing that out sounds like some kind of attention grab. It's not. Don't wish me anything. Just walk away... stop looking at me.

I got a lego AT-AT as a gift... if that's any indication at 31 years of age what kind of fan I am lol.

Hi, my name is Chris and I'm an alcoholic.

    Just kidding.

I was 10 years old when Star Wars came out on March 25th, 1977. The opening scene with the Imperial Star Destroyer chasing the Rebel ship was so amazing. It just went on and on and on for what seemed like forever. I was hopelessly hooked on Star Wars at that moment. And of course it only got better as the rest of the movie unfolded.

True story, three years later I accurately predicted that Darth Vader was Luke's father prior to the release of ESB. How did I know this? In our "Weekly Reader" at school, there was a preview of ESB with a picture of Darth Vader. The caption read "You'll never guess who Luke's real father is". I thought I was so clever.

Needless to say, I was tremendously disappointed with the most recent trilogy. And it feels sacrilegious to say this, but the lack of Lucas' involvement gives me hope that Star Wars can be close to what it once was. It sounds like JJ and company are serious about getting back to the roots of the franchise. That provides me with a new hope...

Hey everyone... my name's Jude. I've been a Star Wars fan for as long as I can remember ( parents watched them when I was growing up). I always "liked" them, but it wasn't until around college when I started reading the novels that I truly fell in love with the universe. Needless to say min a huge fan of the now-Legends EU, but it only strengthened my enjoyment of the movies - Prequel trilogy included!

I'll also admit it... I'm one of the ones who is holding out hope that they'll at least draw certain aspects from the EU in the new movies, even if not specific story lines. I'm sure they'll be great either way, though!

In non-Star Wars-related info about me, I'm an elementary band director (and I've used Yoda and Vader in some of my band recruitment posters!), and I'm married with a 1-year old daughter. Wife is not a huge SW fan, but I'm working on the kid. ;)
