A new official image from The Book of Boba Fett has been released on Disney's UK website. The image shows Boba Fett standing alongside Fennec Shand in the location where they encounter a basic-speaking Ithorian in the trailer. The empty space of the photo has speculative fans wondering if there is more to this image than meets the eye, a level of speculation we have seen with past Star Wars releases. Let's take a look.

Comparing the new shot to the image below, it is clear this is the same location. With blasters drawn it looks like this encounter is a bit more than a chat.

Due to the empty space in the newly released image, speculative fans online are wondering if someone has been edited out of the image for spoiler preservation. That level of curiosity might remind you of similar speculation that occurred during past Star Wars releases, as recently as The Rise of Skywalker, where fans looked at many different iterations of the heroes overlooking the Death Star and wondered whether Ben Solo, R2-D2, or others might have been removed from the images.

As we now know, that wound up not being the case. It doesn't seem to be Star Wars' style to edit images for the sake of trickery or safeguarding. With that said, it is possible they did it this time, though they could have simply just cropped the image rather effortlessly if they wanted to hide someone from a shot, versus the effort it would take to carefully edit them out. We will safely assume the image is shown as-is, with no trickery afoot.

All answers will be revealed soon enough as we are little over a month away from The Book of Boba Fett, which arrives on Disney Plus December 29.

This throne room immediately reminded me of Deckard's appartment in Blade Runner. I like it!
