    detective work reveals, Its from ROGUE ONE

    it was from this article earlier in the year. Still, I don't think many didn't catch that fuselage difference.


    I am thinking pre-cursor to the T-65 X-Wing?.

    So that exact swing in the fan convention will be in the movie? It wasn't exactly really clear in that article .

    Perhaps a stealth x-wing? If it's a heist movie they may need some sort of getaway ship and/or a way to approach the Imperials undetected.

    Maybe this ship is what the title "Rogue One" refers to? Just throwing that out there...

    EDIT:

    I also just noticed there are no cannons on the S-foils. Perhaps it's a recon model, or even a civilian model of some sort? In the real world, militaries use many variants of the same fighters for different jobs...It seems unlikely that it's an older version of the X-wing if Rogue One is set almost immediately before ANH.

    If you look at it closely, it's not really clear that the S-foils even separate into an X. Maybe it's not an X wing but something more akin to a Z-95 Headhunter or something like that...

    If it's a stealth version, it's not very good. I'm mean, we haven't even seen a trailer and we have pictures on this board! :eek: That's not very secretive ;) .

    And about the canons, maybe they just haven't put them on yet?

    The more I look at the picture, the less I believe it's real. My two reasons being:
    1) The picture is of a nice quality, most leaks are not this great without a bunch more, and a good reason for how they were leaked.
    2) The set/studio it's in doesn't look right. Look at those dangly atomy things. You wouldn't have those on location unless they serve a purpose for the film or the process of making the film.

    Can anyone find a way to debunk my reasons? I'm hoping I am wrong. :)

    Also, as I've been looking, the window for the cockpit is sitting off to the left. I wouldn't be a bit surprised if they will add the wings on later, if it's supposed to have more traditional S-foils.

    I would have to agree with you. Something about this, the way it looks in the picture, screams photoshop to me. I can't really pinpoint it but it almost isnt photo realistic. Plus, it seems the guy isn't secretly taking the picture. He is just standing behind it, with the lights on, and someone walking in front of him. Not much security there if it is real. It really doesn't even seem to be in the middle of a set... its just there. The atom thingie on the left if the only one that looks real to me, the others look fake/computer generated
