    They're going to be totally different films in tone. I think Rogue One will definitely be taking the 'braver' route with a more original story and I'm sure the quality of the film will confirm it's place as 'Movie of the Year' but for me; I don't think I'll get as emotional or sentimental as I did with TFA.

    As for R1 making more money than TFA... hell no. It won't. TFA is the 3rd biggest film of all time. Disney confirmed that it's not forecasting for Rogue One to do better.

    Original, well TFA was so original that no one peiced the story together even with all spoiler and no one knows where it goes in VII that is quite original, visual reference was always part of Star Wars from day one to the prequels. Rogue One is quite cool because we know the basic story and now we can dive into details.

    The thing is: the marketing is totally on point, they proove again that they know their audience. We have changed, things that would have blewn our pants off are now material for a shrug. There are certain shots that that look simply amazing and are poster material but they have less impact. Looks like the long before TFA prophesied burn out is in action, so I totally get why they boiled it down to a 3 week rally.

    Just watched the Collider video posted on the blog concerning the 28 minutes of footage shown. A lot of good commentary. I'm now shifting my hype for Rogue One gear into fifth. Cannot wait for this movie!!!!! It has an entirely different feel. Oh mu god man some of the shots are breath taking!!!

    Yea? Seriously?

    EDIT: Oh damm. Gotcha. Though I'm really hoping we get some new non saber wielding force users on the big screen in the future. I loved what they did with Leia. There was a rumored cut scene from TFA where Maz force pulls down a ceiling on some Stormtroopers. Chirrut is obviously some sort of force monk/jediesque type of character so here's to hoping he can be added to the list.
