Disney Plus will have its second anniversary on November 12 this year, and while it will be a bit further off before we see The Book of Boba Fett released, a new special about the character's real-world history and impact on popular culture will be arriving before then.

As part of a press release describing what's being dubbed as 'Disney Plus Day', Disney has unveiled that a new documentary special about Boba Fett will be arriving as part of a deluge of content hitting the up-and-coming streaming service. A summary of what's confirmed to be arriving on November 12 is listed below:
As it stands, it's unclear if this special will feature anything from The Book of Boba Fett, like a behind-the-scenes look, or perhaps even conclude with a reveal of the trailer. Nonetheless, it seems highly likely that it will be used as a promotional tool of some kind for the new series regardless of whether or not Lucasfilm lifts the curtain on this year's big live-action Star Wars television series.

Disney Plus Day, which will feature the debut of this special, will occur on November 12, 2021. The Book of Boba Fett will begin airing sometime before the end of the year.

It really is fascinating how popular Boba Fett came. He had such a small role in terms of screen time in the OT, and the most odd 'death' in the series. That, considering fandom today. People would've HATED his 'death'.

People did hate Fett's death back in the day, and GL only killed him off because he couldn't get him filmed right in RotJ (or some such, according to the GL biography). The reason why Fett was popular is very easy to understand; In all of the OT Star Wars, Boba Fett was the only other character, beside Darth Vader (and Tarkin if you're pushing it) who gave the heroes any kind of trouble. He wasn't on screen much, but he f***ed up the heroes' lives pretty massively.

A good friend gave me a box of comic books that was stored in his closet (he didn't want them anymore and he knows I still read them).
I've recently learned a Star Wars comic book (#42) featuring the first appearance of Boba Fett, is in that box, and is selling on eBay for hundreds of dollars due to the popularity of The Mandalorian and upcoming Book of Boba Fett.
$215/650 loose depending on the condition and about $1200 graded, depending on the grading. It will cost me about $80 to get it graded by the CGC. Send me all your comic books if you don't want them... haha
