A new image from the upcoming Star Wars: Andor Disney Plus series has been released by Empire Magazine, as part of their August 2022 issue (see above). It features Diego Luna's Cassian Andor and Stellan Skarsgård's Luthen on a speeder, and serves as a reminder that the series is less than two months away from premiering on Disney Plus.

Showrunner Tony Gilroy and star Diego Luna took the stage at Star Wars: Celebration to announce that the series will consist of two seasons, 12 episodes each. It will start 5 years before the events of Rogue One, with the first season covering year one of that period, and the second season covering the other four. Per Empire, here's Gilroy's breakdown of the structure of the show:

If nothing else, this image represents a definitive line between the marketing pushes for Obi-Wan Kenobi and Andor. Even though the trailer was already released during Star Wars Celebration, Obi-Wan Kenobi has been the focus of Lucasfilm's marketing for the past few weeks. Now, that series is officially in the rear-view mirror and we can start looking forward to the next epic Star Wars adventure.

Andor will debut its first two episodes on August 31, and will air the other ten each Wednesday thereafter. If you haven't already, you can check out the trailer here:
