    Hello there,

    This weekend at the Comic Con in Bruxelles I had the opportunity to talk with Mike Quinn, our beloved Nien Nunb from ROTJ, TFA,TLJ and TROS.

    And I asked him if his character dies in TROS because even after three viewings I was not sure about his fate.

    He said that he doesn't knows because we can't see that in the movie (but I guess I saw the scene of his ship exploding in TROS, maybe I'm imagining things). So we both agreed that probably JJ left this question open for our imagination.

    I've searched in wookipedie and there's nothing about his posible death in TROS.

    I also asked him what was his favorite SW movie and he said its TROS, because everything was tied up in the end.

    I was the last person to talk to him in that day so we talked for five minutes or more.

    He was very friendly. If you have the opportunity to meet him in a convention I recommend.

    IMHO the movie is not definitive about it. We do see sparks flying, but everyone’s ship is in a bad way at that moment, so any of them we don’t see afterwards could have either recovered or exploded. I guess we could find out in the novelisation one way or another.

    The fate of Nein Numb is unknown to me.

    The general rule of thumb though is to assume a character is alive unless you see them die. At that point it is still like 50/50 or better that they will be back.

    Technically Nien was in a "fall" on the Tentive 4. And we all know how falls r very survivable in SW.

    I'm very curious as to how the Resistance got the Tantive IV back. It was last seen docked inside of an Imperial Star Destroyer at the beginning of ANH. In my head canon Leia found it in some imperial impound yard after the war with the empire was over and took it back.

    It does seem he died but it’s Star Wars, if you don’t see a body you can never be sure... and sometimes even then... !
