SPECULATION (Not Another!) Snoke Theory

So, this theory popped into my head, and I thought, why not run with it and see what you think (even though it's most definitely 99% wrong). But let's see where this rabbit hole leads!

I'd also warn against taking this theory too seriously.

The theory: Snoke is the son of Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Pros:
It'd actually provide an interesting dark side parallel to Snoke and Kylo Ren's relationship (a Dark Kenobi trying to train a Dark Skywalker who feels the pull of the Light, as opposed to a Light Kenobi trying to train a Light Skywalker who feels the pull of the Dark).

It'd provide potential context as to why Snoke was even near Ben Solo in the first place - if Snoke revealed that his father was Ben's namesake, I think that'd give him pretty much automatic access.

The timing could work out in terms of age: If Snoke was Kenobi's son (which sounds weird to write, even for me!), he'd probably have been born either during the Clone Wars by Sabine Kryze (presumably during the timeskip, in which Mandalore was seemingly left alone), or during (or within a year after) the year-long mission to Mandalore Kenobi and Qui-Gon had at least 11 years prior to TCW. In this I'd be leaning towards the latter.

It could make Rey's parentage another parallel (Light Side Jedi-in-training related to one of the leaders of the enemy forces) without having to result to her being created by the Force, or her being a relative of Palpatine assuming she's related to Snoke (I'm not knocking those theories, just trying to come up with an alternative). Heck, she'd still be a Kenobi in that case too!


The Cons:

Snoke is an alien, too complicated, and the theory wouldn't necessarily jive with what moviegoers know about Kenobi (although they probably could get around that loophole of Kenobi not having a kid by just saying "he didn't know." It worked for Darth Vader, and he KNEW he was going to have a kid; I'm sure it could work for Kenobi ).
There's the "making the universe smaller" problem too.

ALSO, where would Snoke have been if he was Kenobi's son? My own pet theory would say that he was on Mandalore, and after the Empire...occupied...Mandalore, he went on to be an Inquisitor (one in-training, although the ages might not line up on that one) and somehow survived the fall of the Empire. That way, he'd have been a Dark Side user that worked close enough with the Emperor and Vader to see it's fall, but far enough away so as to not be a Sith. And any tie to Mandalore or the Star Wars Rebels TV show would be cool.

So, overall, that's the theory in a nutshell!

Is it crazy? Absolutely! Is it entertaining? I hope so! Am I crazy? ...let's not try to hard to think about that one... Thanks for reading!
